Patch Notes October 13, 2026 - Final Fantasy XIV
My first patch notes video for Final Fantasy XIV, covering 7.57 from October 13. The beast class gets fixes, the Crucible changes its scoring and opens its first ranked season, party selection widens across the Japanese data centers, and two events are running now, a Fall Guys one and a Halloween one. I am level 14 and say so whenever I do not follow something.
These are the notes for patch 7.57 from October 13, and the first time I have covered Final Fantasy XIV patch notes. I came back to the game recently and my character is level 14, so a good part of this is me reading something out and admitting I do not know what it means. The patch itself is a Crucible patch: scoring changes, a first ranked season with vouchers for the top 300, and a long list of fixes that mostly belong to the beast class. Party selection is also widening across the Japanese data centers, and two events are running while it lasts.
The Beast Class Fixes
Most of the bug list belongs to one class.
- A beast told to stand can now use Tempered Release and Parting Blow. It returns to the target to do it. Beasts do not change direction while standing by, so they could not perform either action before.
- The captions call the class both Beastmaster and Tamer. I am treating them as the same class. I have mixed feelings about it and have not played it, being level 14.
- Tamer actions were not counting towards capturing objectives in certain zones, and Disaster used at a distance from the target sometimes did no damage.
- The tamer subcommands became unavailable while talking to Luda. I am giving that name as I heard it.
- The chocobo companion sometimes started attacking another enemy after a certain action.
- Lalafel using a consumable with a tamer weapon in hand got graphical errors, and teleporting or returning on the Interstellar Lifekin caused distortions.
- Some achievements showed incorrectly in the recommendations window. I am not reading the whole list, and so many belong to the tamer that it is probably new from the last patch or the one before.
The Crucible Changes
I do not know what it is, and it sounds like an event.
- The difficulty you pick is now remembered. The mode chosen before the challenge, standard level one, two or three, is saved temporarily and becomes your default until you exit the game.
- Familiars are registered in the battle horns for you when your team has three or fewer of them. You can still adjust them by hand, even the ones that were registered automatically.
- Entering with an unassigned battle horn now shows a warning.
- The base score for defeating elite enemies goes from 620 to 800.
- The bonus in Sleepless Arrival goes from 375 to 1000. The captions read that as the name of the bonus, so take it as heard.
- The notes call it Crucible of the Unbroken in one place and Crucible of the Unconquered in another. I have used Crucible throughout.
Season One Rankings
The first ranked season starts with this patch.
- Your best score is what counts, recorded on your home world, with rankings combined across the physical data center.
- To be included you need the third difficulty level and the box ticked to take part in the ranking.
- Rating points come from your last three attempts on each board.
- You can check your standing by talking to Ul'da, and ratings also show on a special Lodestone page. The captions place her in the Central Savannah, which I would not rely on.
- The top 300 in each physical data center get vouchers through the in-game delivery service once the season ends. I am not sure of the service's name from the captions.
- A pre-season phase follows the end of season one, then season two. Another announcement comes when the season finishes.
- The end date for season one was wrongly listed as early December, and that is a known issue.
Party Selection Widens
A good change, and a busy game.
- Regional player selection already exists in the Japanese data centers. It now expands to the logical data centers inside one physical center.
- Anyone in a Japanese physical data center can take part in player selection and group recruitment, whatever world they are currently on.
- It rolls out to every other data center once the Japanese one is confirmed stable.
- It sounds good to me, and the game is clearly popular. Every server I have tried has had a huge queue when I log in.
- I read the achievement and class guide pages while I was there. The beast class is melee DPS, you get a beast and a costume, and I am not confident of the achievement names from the captions.
Two Events Running Now
Both want level 15, and I am one level short.
- The Fall Guys event runs from October 7 to 27. You reach level 15, finish a few quests, then go and see Ul'da. The match plays out in the game itself, in the Gold Saucer, and the rewards include tracksuits with funny hats and things you buy with the event currency.
- My character is level 14, so the plan is to reach 15, go to the Gold Saucer and try to finish before the 27th.
- All Saints' Awakening is the Halloween event, from October 15 to November 2, and it also needs level 15. It takes place in Old Gridania and you can get a ghost with a pumpkin head.
- The grizzly bear costume is the one I have seen out in the world. I would play a lot more if I could stay in bear shape all the time.
- The home rewards are a mushroom, a cart, two paintings and a table decoration, which includes a picture you can stand on your desk.
- There is a page listing every patch, sorted by topic, under the updates section of the official site. I looked at it on screen and did not catch its address, so there is no link here.
Patch 7.57 in Short
- Beast class players: standing beasts now follow through on Tempered Release and Parting Blow.
- Crucible: your chosen difficulty sticks, and elite kills are worth 800 base.
- Season one needs difficulty three and the ranking box ticked, or your score does not count.
- Top 300 per physical data center get vouchers when the season closes.
- The season one end date in the notes is wrong, so do not plan around early December.
- Fall Guys ends October 27 and All Saints' Awakening ends November 2. Both need level 15.

Welcome to our roundup of Final Fantasy XIV patch notes and other news. So, these are the patch notes for 7.57 from October 13th, so please be patient while I get started on this. I haven’t made a video describing patches for Final Fantasy before. I recently started playing it again. Videos will appear on the channel. This will become part of my workflow, so we’ll be covering these patch notes as they come out, discussing events, and talking about the game going forward. So, if I don’t understand something when I’m telling you, I’ll be honest. I don’t know what’s going on, right ? You can see, this is my character right here. They have integration with all of this and that. I will be frank. I don’t know what it is, right? If you would like to leave a comment and explain what this means, I would appreciate it. Really grateful. OK. Combat system. There are a few different things here. Combat system: fixed issues, known bugs, right? So these are different settings, right? As a Beastmaster, if a beast is ordered to stand and then given the command to perform a ” Tempered Release” or “Parting Blow” , it will now perform the action by returning to the target. Since beasts don’t change direction while in standby mode, they couldn’t do this before , right? This is a separate class. I figured it out. Beastmaster is a class, and to be honest , I have mixed feelings about it. Based on my research, I don’t know. I haven’t done anything with it yet . I’m literally at level 14. The following additions and adjustments have been made to Crucible of the Unbroken. The Crucible mode selected before the challenge ( standard level one, two, or three ) will be saved temporarily, and your previous difficulty selection will be set as the default until you exit the game. When checking your team composition before entering a space, familiars will be automatically registered in the battle horns if your team has three or fewer familiars. Familiars assigned to war horns can be manually adjusted, even if they were registered automatically. When entering enemy space, if one or more battle horns are not assigned, a warning will appear before entering. The base score for defeating elite enemies has been increased from 620 to 800. The bonus to points in Sleepless Arrival has increased from 375 to 1000. I don’t know what Crucible of the Unconquered is. Sounds like some kind of event you could participate in. OK. The first season of the ” Crucible” rating will begin. Players can choose the highest score achieved in the Crucible of the Unconquered; Results must be recorded in the player’s home world, and rankings will be aggregated across physical data centers. For results to be included in the ranking, players must set the Crucible mode to the third difficulty level and check the box ” participate in the ranking”. Rating points are calculated based on the last three attempts on each board in the Crucible. Your current ranking in the Crucible can be checked by speaking with Ul’da . in Central Savannah. Crucible ratings will be displayed on a special Lodestone page. After the season ends, the top 300 players in each physical data center will receive vouchers via the Mogul delivery service. You can learn more about the awards here. Let’s click and see where it takes us. Another announcement will be made after the season is over. Once this period is over, the pre-season phase will begin, and after that, the second season will begin . Okay, let’s see what these ratings are. Okay, season one. So, the achievement ” Best Beast for the Best”, okay. My God, a pack animal? Tourmaline golem. OK. It seems to be related to ” The Game Hunter”. So, you know, go here, you can read more about all of this. And everything is in this spirit. There are all kinds of different things here. And then the professions guide, yes, here’s the gamekeeper. And all that, it’s melee DPS. You get a beast. You get a cool costume. And so on, so on . Pretty good . See, the system of selecting players from one region was implemented in the Japanese data centers with the introduction of regional selection. The scope of player selection will expand to include logical data centers within a single physical center. This means that all players within the Japanese physical data center will be able to participate in player selection and group recruitment, regardless of their current world. Once the stability of regional player selection in the Japanese data center is confirmed, it will be rolled out to all other centers. Okay , sounds like a good thing, right? It seems like this game is quite popular. Every time I log into the game, there’s a [ __ ] huge queue on every server I’ve tried. Below are the fixed bugs. An issue has been identified when playing as a Tamer where in certain zones— Northern Forest and Tam- Tara—actions were not affecting the capture of objectives. An issue when playing as a Tamer where using the Disaster action at a distance from the target would sometimes not deal damage. Problem when playing as a Tamer: Tamer subcommands become unavailable while talking to Luda . It looks like there are a lot of fixes here. I’m actually not going to read them all. Not that I was going to review them all. A lot of them are related to the tamer, so it’s probably something new added in the last or second-to-last patch. And this is the ” Crucible of the Unconquered” for that. So, let’s look here. An issue during combat with various enemies where after performing a certain action, your chocobo companion would sometimes start attacking another enemy. An issue when playing as Lalafel where using a consumable item with a tamer weapon in hand results in graphical errors. Fixed an issue where teleporting or returning on the Interstellar Lifekin would cause graphical distortions. And also a bug that caused some achievements to be displayed incorrectly in the recommendations window. Known issues. An issue where the end date for Season 1 was incorrectly listed as early December. Well , that’s all. So, you see what this patch is, right? The one that just came out. This page seems to have all the patches. You can navigate by topic. And then, where was it? It was in the updates. Yes, here you can see all the different patches for everything. So, that’s it. Another event happening around the world right now—from October 7th to 27th—is the Fall Guys event, where you can play a little Fall Guys. It’s like a game you can play on Steam, but the same match can be played in the game itself. So you can see it there. Pretty cool. So, how to participate? You need to reach level 15. You need to complete several quests and then go to Ulda. The steps and everything else are right there. So, what level is my character? My character is level 14, so of course you have n’t seen these videos yet, but as soon as my character reaches level 15 , we’re going to head out here, travel to the Gold Saucer , and, uh, see if we can get it done before it ends on the 27th . So that would be pretty cool. You can win the Manderville Gold Saucer glory in Blunderville. OK. And, uh, yes. Among the event rewards you can get, it seems, are tracksuits with funny hats, and I think you can buy various things with the event currency. Okay, so this event is ongoing. And then there’s ” All Saints’ Awakening,” which I understand is a Halloween event. Um, that also requires level 15. It takes place in Old Gridania, right? So, you’re going to Old Gridania, heading to this area. You can get a ghost with a pumpkin head. And you can do it. I’ve seen this armor in the world, right? These grizzly bear costumes and stuff. Looks pretty cool. I won’t lie. I would actually play a lot more if I could stay in this bear shape all the time. This looks so cool. But exactly here, from October 15, which was yesterday, to November 2. So you can definitely go and do it. Looks like you can get a mushroom for your home too. A cart for your home. A painting for your home. A table decoration for your home and another painting. So, these are paintings, a cart, and, oh, this is a tabletop picture. So you can put the picture on your desk . There are some pretty interesting things there. Exactly so be sure to check them out if you’re interested. But this is an update for 7. I do n’t even remember which one. 7. 57. Final Fantasy XIV. Definitely a fun MMO. Thank you very much for watching. Once again, I wish you a fantastic day.
