How I Play My Level 80 Druid

A walkthrough of my level 80 EverQuest Druid set up as a healing box. Covers the heal rotation, the panic-heal sub-rotation, the burn-heal stack with Spirit of the Wood and Convergence of Spirits, damage shields, group buffs, and gear progression.

April 1, 2026

A level 80 Druid built as a healing box. Focused on keeping the tank alive through a multibind heal rotation, a dedicated panic-heal button, and a burn-heal sequence stacking Spirit of the Wood, Nature's Boon, and Convergence of Spirits. Covers damage shields, group buffs, and the long-term path to Druid + Enchanter ADPS synergy.

Heal-focused box Damage shield stacker Future ADPS synergy
Puravida4,200 single-target heal
Crescentbloom3,800 group heal
Convergence of Spirits3,900 + 2,400 HoT

Session Overview

Healing.

  • Role: Primary healer for the 6-box. Damage is incidental.
  • Why heal-focused: Trying to nuke runs you out of mana fast. Healing is the priority. Let the Wizard and Mages do the killing.
  • Future: At 130, the Druid + Enchanter pair forms the synergy that supercharges Wizard and Mage damage. Stay alive until then.
  • Style: Crescentbloom on cooldown to prepare for the level 105 Preserver's Synergy bonus.

Heal Rotation (Multibind 5)

The everyday heal sequence.

  • Crescentbloom: 3,800 group heal. First in the rotation, will become the Preserver's Synergy spell at 105.
  • Fern Spike: High-damage, short-duration damage shield. Stacks on top of the other DS layers for an extra burst of return damage.
  • Wrath of the Wild: 5-charge, 2,200 damage shield bolted on top of all other DS layers. 2:20 reuse, 36-minute duration. Cast on cooldown.
  • Adrenaline Swell: Fast big heal with a chance to apply a Ward proc.
  • Survival of the Fittest: Triages to whoever has the lowest HP, then tops off the rest.
  • Wild Tender's Survival (AA): AA version of Survival of the Fittest. Fires from the same multibind cast as the spell version.
  • Puravida: 4,200 single-target heal. The Druid's bread and butter heal line.

Panic Heal (Button 6)

When the tank is going down NOW.

  • What it does: Spams Adrenaline Swell + Puravida on the tank only. Drops every other rotation element (AoEs, damage shield, fern spike).
  • How to use it: Switch from spamming 5 to spamming 6 the moment the tank's HP drops dangerously.
  • Group integration: Other characters do nothing on button 6 except the Enchanter (runes) and the Paladin tank (self-preservation spells). It's a coordinated emergency button.

Key insight: Having a separate panic-heal button drops every "nice to have" effect from the rotation so 100% of casts go into raw HP recovery on the tank.

Burn Heal Stack (Button 7)

The big heal cooldowns.

  • Silent Casting: Drops aggro on everything cast.
  • Spirit of the Wood: Group HoT with damage shield component.
  • Nature's Boon: Stationary ward dropping group healing.
  • Convergence of Spirits: 3,900 instant heal + 2,400 HoT on the tank.

How it's wired: Hit 7 five times in a row, then switch back to the rotation. With Convergence ticking, the tank should be safe enough to focus on damage.

Damage Burst (Button 8)

For when the tank is fine and you can deal damage.

  • Nature's Guardian: Summons a bear that attacks the target.
  • Nature's Bolt / Fire / Frost: 2,100 damage nukes that all fire from the same button press.
  • Mana cost: Surprisingly low. Most of these are AAs that don't burn through your mana pool.

Why bother: Even at 80 these AA nukes add meaningful DPS to a fight without eating into your healing mana pool. Free damage when the tank's not in trouble.

Damage Spells (Optional)

For solo play and trade skill grinding.

  • Nature's Burning Wrath: 4,600 initial + 1,700/tick over 18s. 18-second cast time matches duration. Multibind-friendly if you're DPSing.
  • Hoar Crystals: 2,700 ice nuke.
  • Horde of Fire Ants: Magic DoT.
  • Sunsear: Stackable DoT for solo killing.

Skill warning: If you don't normally cast evocation, your skill cap might be too low for Nature's Burning Wrath at 80. Build the skill before relying on it.

Buffs & Maintenance

The always-on stuff.

  • Wild Tender's Unity II: AA that casts Viridithorn Coat + Mask of the Shadowcat. Frees up a hotbar slot.
  • Talisman of the Stalwart: Group regen. Most mana-efficient sustain since the regen ticks for free after a single cast.
  • Legacy of Viridithorns: Current damage shield. Cast on the group.
  • Blessing of the Ironwood: Druid skin. Block on the Paladin (he wants Aegolism), block on the Mages.
  • Mammoth Strength: Strength buff for the Paladin if Focus isn't up.
  • Pre-incarnation: Second-life buff. Chance to survive death and become invulnerable briefly. 47-minute duration.

Travel & Utility

Travel and group transport.

  • Teleport Bind: Bind the Druid in Guild Lobby and run her solo to remote zones. Then teleport the whole group there.
  • Secondary & Tertiary Recall: Two extra teleport destinations via Stones of Marking and Guide Stones.
  • Group Perfect Invisibility: Helps navigate dangerous zones.
  • Radiant Cure: Group cure. Pops snares and other debuffs from Gribble missions.
  • Exodus: Group escape on a 14-minute timer for emergencies.
  • Call of the Wild: Brings someone back from death without resing.

Gear Progression at 80

The healer doesn't need much.

  • Elegant Defiant: Minimum baseline.
  • Paragon Leather (Seeds of Destruction): Best path if you're investing time. Equivalent to House of Thule tier 1.
  • House of Thule Tier 1: Doable solo at 80 with mercenary support. Harder than SoD but viable.
  • Marks of Valor merchant: Skip the grind by buying gear from the Call of the Forsaken merchant in Ethernere: West Karana.
  • Skip Underfoot: Don't bother. The expansion is brutal and not worth the effort for box characters.

Auto-grant: Always use auto-grant AAs and auto-grant spells on Live. Save the time and money. TLP players have to farm.

Quick Rotation Cheat Sheet

Hello and welcome to how I play my level 80 druid. Now, we’re going to talk about how we do this. We’re going to talk about spells and all this. Now, I want to disclaimer this this I I play this druid as a box. Uh and it’s a healing box. So, my my guide here is going to be focused on doing healing. Right now, you can do a lot of damage and stuff. you’re going to run out of mana. But uh for the most part, we’re going to talk about healing. So, first up, this first spell I got is uh Pvia. Now, this is a 4200 heal. It’s a single target heal. This is the heal like minor healing all way from level one. It’s the same spell line uh that gets changed for the druids. Now, if we target like somebody, right, and cast, it’s a pretty it’s pretty slow cast time, right? So, this is not our primary heal. It is. It is our bread and butter heal though. So, if that makes sense. Now, next up, we have Crescent Bloom. This is our group heal. This 3,800. Uh, it’s it’s a decent cast time, right? You can see there. Uh, not too bad. Boom. Hits everybody. Now, uh, I cast this spell now a lot because later on it is going to become our preserver’s synergy spell, which will give us better healing. So, I kind of just like, you know, I’m already ready. I’m I’m ready for 105, right? I’m ready for the end game. Uh I’m casting it down. Now, uh typically all the only fair damage is the tank, right? So, there is a little bit of loss if you’re going for efficiency there, but getting that uh that synergy later on, it doesn’t matter at all. Uh then we have adrenaline swell. This is a uh fast cast spell. See if I can target him again. Uh well, it’s actually not as fast as I remember it, but it is a big heal, right? And uh it does provide a ward sometimes if it uh if it happens. It’s it’s a random chance. Uh so it’s pretty nice there. Uh then we have survival of the fittest. Uh this is a uh kind of a s life-saving one, right? So if uh like say let’s just make up a little scenario. Say Hamrock is at 20% life and everybody else is like say 100% to 80, right? Uh this spell will automatically heal whoever’s got the lowest amount of hit points with the largest amount, right? And then top off everybody else, right? So it’s kind of nice. Uh nice little spell there. And then uh we have a few damage spells and a few debuff spells, right? So we have hoorde crystals uh which is a ice nuke for 2700. Uh, we have Nature’s Burning Wrath, which is 4600 damage uh initially and then 1,700 over time for 18 seconds. Now, the cool thing about this spell uh if we cast it right now, um, can I get it? I might I don’t have the skill probably for it yet. It’s 18 second cast time with an 18-second duration. What does that mean? That is a multi-bindable uh spell if you’re doing damage, right? Uh definitely nice there. Now I only use it on my debuff button. Uh right here I cast five. So I do ent trap. I do blessing a row and then uh we go there. Right. So if we do ent trap is the snare and then blessing a row is another aa that does hand of row and whatnot. So uh I don’t have the skill for nature’s burning wrath, right? So you know sometimes I lower it down to a lower level spell but u you know I’m working on that. I don’t cast spells. I don’t do evocation, right? I don’t nuke. Like I’m doing heals. And so, you know, like I don’t have the skills for it right now. But, uh, as we get it there, it’s it’s going to be a nice little addition of damage, right? But, uh, the downside is it does it’s a huge amount of mana. Uh, you know, this is 1,600 mana and our heals are uh 700, right? So, it’s almost twice as much mana as a heal. So, something to keep in mind there. Uh, then I have pure blood. This is a This is a cure. I just have it memorized just in case, right? Like I like I don’t use it really much, but it’s there just in case. Then we have uh Fern Spike, which is a it’s a damage shield that does a a multi like it’s not how do I explain it here? It’s a few charges of a really big damage shield, right? Like if I cast it on him right there. Um probably have to go to him to see the stats on it. difference by gray here. Eight charges, 46 seconds of, you know, 520 damage, right? Which doesn’t seem like much, right? But, you know, that’s that’s not too bad, right? It’s extended damage shield damage. Uh, then I was trying to figure out what to put in these last few slots here. So, we have Horde of Fire Ants, which is our DOT, uh, magic dot, right? So, some of these spells I don’t really use during my play as a healer or but like if I’m running around uh collecting trade skill items or you know working on epic pieces, right? I need to be able to kill stuff, right? And I don’t want to have to have, you know, drag around, you know, five other characters just to kill something. So, that is gray, right? So, having these uh dots on there is pretty nice. Uh then we have uh suns here, right? So, like if if I wanted to really like put it all out there, right? If we do Nature’s Burning Wrath, you know, Horde of the Fire Ants and Sunspear, right? Put all of those on there. I mean, look at that damage over time. Uh, you know, 5,300, 1900, 2600, right? Like, it’s it’s a significant amount of damage, uh, I would say. So, it’s pretty nice. Then we have pre-incarnation. Pre-incarnation is our, uh, second life, if you will. uh if we die, we have a chance to not die and become invulnerable for a little bit of time. Uh so that’s kind of nice to have and stuff like that. Uh try to keep it up as much as you can. Uh I think it’s only like a 30 minute duration. Yeah, it’s actually 47 minutes. So there is an AA that we will get. Uh so I have to actually keep it on our spell bar eventually. Uh pre-incarnation right here at 95. So that’s that’ll be nice there. And then we have Secur. Uh, I like to run away from fights because, you know, I don’t like dying because it takes a lot of time to, uh, res six characters and rebuff six characters. So, I have evac there. I have evac here. Uh, like if the tank dies, I typically evac right. That is uh, pretty much how it goes. Now, for my rotation for healing, it is uh, very specific. So, it’s a crescent bloom, fern spike, uh, adrenaline swell, survival of the fittest, Pvia, right? So, that’s that’s the heels. Now, we do also have Wild Tender Survival, which is the same as Survival of the Fittest. It’s just an AA version that’ll cast that, too. And then we have Wrath of the Wild, which is a huge multi-charge, five hits, 2200 damage damage shield that gets added on to all the other damage shields. So, it’s pretty nice. It’s a 2 minute and 20 second reuse. I cast it on cool down. It’s a 36-inute duration. So, casting it right now in uh you know, in the guild hall uh doesn’t really affect me too much because it it’s going to be up when I got out and fight, right? So, it’s nice to have. It’s going to last a while. Uh that’s a pretty nice. Now, I do have a secondary healer here on uh six, which all it does is target the tank and spams um adrenaline swell and provia, right? So, if I go like six, I’m just spamming six. All it’s going to do is spam my skill target goes on. Now, I made five is my multi-bind that everybody like goes to work and does business, right? So all my my full rotation here, one through uh like all this row all the way up to here will get executed. Now when I hit six, it only it’s only these two buttons and that’s like a way for me to kind of focus on healing. Like it drops all the AOE stuff, drops fern spike, right? It’s just oh gosh, the tank is going down. We got to get him up and I can just switch over to that and focus on that. Now, none of my other characters have anything bound to six except my enchanter who does runes like my uh my mages, they don’t have anything. The wizard shouldn’t have anything, right? So, it’s just that. And then the tank, he actually has uh cast six and seven. So, he’s going to cast his own self preservation spells, too. So, it is kind of a an emergency stop gap that I added just to make sure that I could stay alive, right? And uh that is like the multivind the rotation if you will. Uh now, I do have some burns that are specific for different things, right? I hit all these burns at the same time pretty much. I do seven I hit seven five times, I hit eight five times, I hit nine five times, and I hit zero five times. This character just doesn’t have anything on zero. Uh, now burn heal is all the healing stuff. So, this is silent casting. So, everything I do from this point on uh is lower aggro. I do X target 20 because I want to make sure I target the tank when I cast these things. So, spirit of the wood uh right here uh does it’s a group heal uh heal over time with some uh damage shield stuff, right? Then we have uh nature’s boon which is another stationary ward does healing, right? And then we have convergence of spirits right here which uh heals the target. So the tank with uh 39 point or 3,900 heal and then 2400 over time. So it’s a big heal, right? Like like there’s if he dies with that on uh you know something’s wrong. And then we go into damage, right? So, I switch my target from the tank during this one cuz he’s So, at this point, he should be getting this big 2400 uh overtime. So, he should not die cuz I’ve already hit seven, right? Like I’m sp I spammed seven. All those things should be out. There should be enough passive heals that he’s not going to take any have any issue. Then I go into eight, which targets his target, right? The target. It summons nature’s guardian. which uh summons a bear to attack this target. It summons uh Nature’s Bolt, Nature’s Fire, and Nature’s Frost, which all do 2100 damage nukes, right? So, all of that gets on there, right? So, let me see here. I’m going to hit this button, right? Let’s see here. So, you can see if you watch right here, you’ll see all the ones that get activated on that button press, right? All of them frost. And then I hit it again and frost should activate. Why is frost not activate? Why did frost not activate? Let me see here. That’s a good uh like what did I do wrong kind of thing, right? Frost. You know why? Cuz it’s not even the right number. That’s how dumb I am. All right. Six. There we go. And then if I push this again. There we go. Now, if we look at the damage on that, like this is a decent amount of damage. We got 7600, 7600s, and 2100s, right? That gives me a little bit of damage into the fight. And as you can see, my mana didn’t really go down much. So, that’s pretty nice. Now, the next button is ADPS. Spirit of the wolf. Now, later on, we’re going to get group spirit of the wolf, but we don’t have that yet. So, we just have spirit of the wolf, which increases my my effects, right? uh reduces the you know spells cost by 3 to 18%. Increases the critical chance of nukes or healing spells by 5% critically. Um increases the damage of the spells, increases mana regen, increases resists, right? So this increases my ability to heal and the group version is going to do the same thing but do damage to other people. Right? Uh, as we get to 130, the druid and the the enchanter are going to form a synergy that will buff the wizard and the mage’s damage uh through the spirit of wolf and all the stuff that the enchanter has. So, there is a lot of stuff here that kind of plays into it. As long as you can stay alive with the druid healing you, you can get some serious massive damage from this group eventually, right? like it’s not too much right now, but we’re getting there. So, those are kind of set up and ready to go as we get into more and more things, right? Uh now, I like these are the spells I keep memorized at all times, but we do other spells, right? Like a spirit of wolf. Uh I do the aura of life right now. Uh later on, we’re going to get some proc ones we’re going to use instead, but we don’t have those yet. And that’ll that’ll take up an actual dedicated spell slot instead of the swapping uh because they don’t last that long. Uh we do have group regen uh towward uh talisman of the stalwart. Uh cast that on there if we need it. I like to have it on because regen spells are some of the most mana efficient spells for healing because it’s a constant tick and I only had to do it once. Uh damage shield. Uh verie thorns is our current damage shield. Uh, as I think I said in another video, I mostly use uh the the uh the mage damage shield just because it’s on a different character and I like it’s a better icon. Like the icon I like the red icon better, right? It’s easier for me to see. Uh, now I I currently have an external uh damage shield that’s 152,000. So, I’m going to have to click it off, right? I can’t I can’t actually kill anything with that on unless I run around and just do these instac target spells, right? So, it’s it’s kind of a it’s kind of a thing, but uh like I’m in my guild hall, right? I’ve I’ve been AFK for a week, right? Like Vinnie here is like casting buffs constantly on everybody. Uh so, you know, we get buffs, right? Uh blessing of the ironwood is our skin spell. And I talked about in other videos where uh the druid and the wizard wants skin, the enchanter wants skin, but the mage does not, right? The dru the paladin does not want skin. So there’s, you know, you can block those buffs accordingly on your characters to make sure you get where you want, but uh just kind of a thing there. Uh mammoth strength, right? So, uh druids, they don’t have like focus that gives all the all the stab buffs, but they do get a strength buff. Uh I do cast that on my paladin if I do not have focus, and I believe I have focus at the moment, so it’s not a big deal. Uh now at level 80, we got Wild Tenders Unity 2. So this AA ability casts our verticat and our mask of the shadow cat at the same time. So we no longer need this mask button. So we can drop that uh for our thing. We just put this one there. Now this one will cast our uh self mana regen plus our self damage shield uh which is actually kind of nice. Saves a little bit of time there uh and keeps us nice and safe. And that’ll keep going upgraded every five levels so we don’t have to worry about that anymore. Uh, Call of the Wild just brings somebody back. Uh, if they die without arresting them, just brings them back. Uh, then we have Exodus to uh, Dire Charm. I’ve never actually used it on this character just because it has no use to me because I do not charm. Uh, and Dire Charm, it’s useless at this point because it’s only charms permanently a level 46 or lower mob. and I’m fighting mobs that are level 80 to 85. Now, with that said, like you can find some uses for this, but uh for me, it’s not there. Radiant cure uh just a group cure. I keep this up so I can cure, right? Like, makes sense, right? Like we’re doing the gribbles uh in the last uh last group video and we, you know, he gets snared. So, this kind of pops some of that stuff off sometimes. There’s some other, you know, benefits to it and stuff like that. Uh, these are just buttons for those instac nukes so I can easily access them when I need to if I’m out and about and I’m just running around on my druid, right? You know, I run I like run like the druid canorts places, right? It’s easier for me to just run the druid places than it is to run the whole group sometimes. Like if I do slash uh care, right? And then you can see I’m bound. Oh, this one’s not found. I did it on this guy, right? Yeah, this guy’s bound at Dead Hills, right? So, the same concept applies to the druid. Is the druid combined in three different locations, I believe, at this point. Maybe two at this point, but uh I combine myself in like guild lobby. I combine myself in, you know, western waste and I can teleport the whole group there. So, I run the druid to places a lot by itself. You know, I’ll double invisit and I’ll just run off there. I’ll bind her there, you know, depending on the the thing, right? And boom, everybody gets there, right? So I’m bound at guild lobby. So I can teleport everybody to guil lobby instead of using throne thrown of the heroes, right? So it’s kind of a, you know, a useful thing, right? And that’s via teleport bind, which I don’t actually see on this character’s bar. Uh, see here, teleport bind right here. Yeah, let’s go ahead and put it right there. So that’ll teleport us to bind. We don’t these other teleports and stuff like that. You can see here territory recall. So, uh, we can actually teleport to three different locations via gate. Uh, like this will send us to our third location. You have to use a guide stone to do that one. And then there is another one with uses a different one. It’s like secondary recall. Yeah, this one uses a stone of marking or our mark of travel uh ability, but I don’t believe we get that until level 100. So, so you know, some options for navigating the world. Uh, and then we already went through the burns. So, that’s pretty much that. And that makes makes uh that’s pretty much everything in all honesty. I heal. Look here. Uh, I’ll just spam it, right? So, I’m going to spam five. This is my multivine heal rotation, right? Starts out with crescent bloom. Uh, wrath of the wild gets executed. Adrenaline swell and then everything else just kind of goes, right? Provia and then we’re good. Now, by this time, something else should already be up. As you can see, crescent room is back up and we can keep healing uh with everything else. So, it works out pretty well. I like I haven’t had too many issues. Like there’s some some issues where we have, you know, run to, but it’s nothing that my gear issue is not really going to resolve, right? Like all my characters are severely undergeeared because I haven’t been actively trying to get them gear. I have not I’ve just been leveling, right? So once they’re in, let’s just say 130 gear, this group is going to be such a powerhouse. I think it will outdamage my warrior group in all honesty. But uh right now they’re undergeeared so it’s a little weak but I’m spamming five. Like literally you only have to hit one one button to play these characters and that is pretty much it. So you can see that just a little slow on the healing but uh obviously with external healing uh with external mana regen from 130 enchanter we never run out of mana. So uh that’s that. Gearwise I guess we should talk about real quick. I don’t think I have anything. Yeah, I have one piece of elegant. Uh, so elegant is, you know, kind of like the low end of where you’d want to be, but there are better options. If we go to the achievements and go to the hero’s journey and then we go to progression and go all the way to the bottom here, you’ll see these these these these things. Now, uh, you can do them at 75, but you might have some hard times, but uh, Paragon Leather is going to be your best bet. If you’re struggling gear-wise, going to do these quests is going to be your best bet for gear. It’s equivalent to House of Thul tier one. House of Thul can be started at level 80. I’ve done it with solo self-found monk. I’ve done it with uh I think Nomegard. I did it with all my other characters. It can be done. It’s just difficult. Uh these characters are not going to probably do it because we’re going to do gribbles to get try to get into the upper levels a little bit faster. Uh, but it’s it’s about equivalent gear. Now, you’re going to want to get as much of this stuff as you can or House of Th. Uh, so your choices are there. I mean, you can go into what? See, this is Seas of Destruction for these quests in House of Th. Underfoot is terrible. Uh, it’s a terrible expansion. I I just I my characters die like instantly. Like, I don’t even know what like I I’ve spent a lot of time trying it and it just doesn’t work out. But those that’s where you want to get your gear, right? And uh focus on that. You should be using autog grant AAS. You should be auto grant spells. Save yourself the money. Save yourself the time. If you’re on a TLP server, sorry, you’re going to have to go farm all those things on your own. Uh but it shouldn’t take too long if you’re doing it incrementally from the previous expansion. So, won’t be too bad. But that’s that. That is how I play my level 80 druid and uh my situation. So if you have any questions, comments, leave them down below and I will get to them when I can. Uh if I’m doing something wrong and you see, hey, you could do this. It would might improve your character. Uh let me know. Uh you know, you got questions, let me know and we can talk about it. But thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day.
