The end of The Moon Kitties of Vaniki. The server is empty, 106 people in general chat, and the experience is too slow to grind solo. The same achievements get another run on Frostreaver instead.
The Moon Kitties of Vaniki closes, and unusually the reason is the server rather than me losing interest. Vaniki has emptied out to 106 people in general chat, which makes buying anything hard and effectively requires boxing to do high level content. The plan is not abandoned so much as postponed to a healthier server. It is also the last of the end caps: about seven cancelled series, each closed out on camera rather than left to lapse.
Why Vaniki Stopped Working
Population, not interest.
- 106 people in general chat, which is functionally zero population.
- That makes buying anything hard, so gearing turns into a project rather than a purchase.
- High level content needs a box team at this point in the server's life, which is not how I want to play it.
- The experience rate is the killer. I was levelling to get high enough to farm my own gear, but it is nowhere near as fast as other servers, and I got bored of the grind quickly.
What It Did Achieve
Worth remembering on the way out.
- Twinked out early by selling a Krono or two, which bought a few Wurmslayers among other things.
- A few streams handed out achievements to whoever turned up, and that is the part I enjoyed most.
- It came back from a long hiatus once already, so the run got a second life before this one.
The Frostreaver Plan
Same idea, faster server.
- The achievements are identical, so the run transfers as a concept.
- Experience is roughly ten times faster there, which fixes the one thing that killed this.
- It waits for the right era. I want Frostreaver closer to what I am calling the Wurmslayer age before I spin up a character there.
- And this is the last end cap. I count about seven cancelled series that already had videos, each one closed out rather than quietly left to lapse, and this finishes the list.
- What replaces all of it: EverQuest Legends, plus a series or two in EverQuest, for the rest of 2026 and into 2027.
If you were waiting on the next episode of this, sorry. It was not coming, and saying so out loud is the entire point of these end caps.
The Short Version
- Moon Kitties of Vaniki is over.
- The server is empty, 106 in general chat.
- Buying is hard and high end needs boxing.
- Experience is too slow to grind solo there.
- The same run returns on Frostreaver once it reaches the right era.

Hello and welcome to the Moon kitties of Aniki. So today uh as you probably expected, we are ending this series. Now we had a lot of fun on this, right? We came back after a long hiatus. Uh we did a few runs, got a few people achievements and stuff like that. Uh but, you know, it’s just uh the server’s kind of dead in all honesty. >> [laughter] >> Uh like if I log in here, there’s 106 people in general right now. Uh and that means this server has zero population. Uh so it’s hard to buy things. You have to like, you know, do a lot of stuff. And at this point it’s a near um it’s it’s near release. I think it’s uh almost Shattered Row if not Shattered Row. Uh so like you have to box to do anything at high level. I was leveling uh here to uh try to get in like higher levels so I could, you know, farm my own gear. Uh but it just doesn’t have the like the fast experience like the other servers and stuff like that. So I got bored really quick trying to grind stuff out. Now, you know, obviously we twinked ourselves out pretty well by selling like a Chrono or two. Uh we got a few uh Worm Slayers and stuff like that. So it was it was a good time. We had fun. >> [music] >> Uh got a bunch of people achievements and stuff over the uh the few streams we did with that and stuff. So I I really enjoyed it. Now in the future when uh when uh Frost River gets closer to the uh the Worm Slayer age, let’s call it that, I will probably uh spin up another character there and do kind of the same thing uh that we’re doing here since it’s the same achievements uh except the experience is like 10 times as fast, right? So uh could be could be a little bit more fun there in it doing it there. Uh but for for the most part this series is done. Uh you know, I’m just putting an end cap on the video playlist, right? That’s what I’ve been saying I’m doing. And want to move on, right? I’m streamlining my my my series uh down to a handful versus I don’t know. I I one I got like seven canceled series on my list right now that I’ve made videos for. And uh I think this is the last one. I think we’re uh we’re going to wrap it all up here. And uh move forward with new content for uh the rest of 2026 and into 2027. You know, focusing on uh EverQuest legends and uh a series or two in EverQuest, right? So stay tuned for that. I mean, if you were uh waiting for the next episode of this and it never came, I apologize, but that’s just how it is. I I I kill stuff. >> [laughter] >> I just I just do. Uh but I appreciate everybody who watched this, whoever everybody watched the streams when we did the streams for the stuff. I appreciate it all. And uh there is future content. Uh we just need to streamline it. Woah, look at all those Look at all those little guys just running across the screen like that. Woah. Auto follow like that ain’t built into the game. I’ll tell you that right now. But uh thank you very much for for watching and have a fantastic day. >> Mhm.
