Episode 4 of Nomeregard's Journey: the last day of the starter area as a Necromancer, from level 8 to 11. Goblin slaves, the Overlord and a spirit weaver, with the pet doing most of the killing, before leaving by the back waterfall into Crescent Reach.
The last day of the starter area, played as a Necromancer. I started at level 8 and finished at 11, working through the captains, goblin slaves and a slave overseer, then the Overlord and a spirit weaver, before leaving through the back waterfall into Crescent Reach. The pet did most of the killing, mana was the constant problem, and I lost a few fights along the way. The captions are rough in places, so some spell and NPC names below are hedged.
Picking Up Where I Left Off
Last week ended in a death, so this one starts with the leftovers.
- The server had 405 people online. I do not know how many of them are boxed characters.
- There was a 200 percent experience bonus the week before. I saw no news of it at all.
- The goal was level 9 or 10. I planned to leave the area somewhere around level 12 to 15, since plenty of people are still training here.
- Last week I died going for the flutter wing egg. That egg drops off one of the named mobs, so it was on the list again.
- I started with the captains quest. The first captain stands near the Twilight Abyss port, and the mobs around him did not aggro.
The Rotation and the Pet
Damage over time first, then let the pet work.
- The opener was Poison Arrow, then Clinging Darkness, then a disease cloudEverQuest
Disease CloudNecromancer 1, Shadowknight 5Conjures a cloud of disease, causing 5 damage initially and 1 damage every 6 seconds for 6m.Mana10Cast time1.5sRecast6sDurationup to 6mTargetsingleRange200Resisted bydiseaseSkillconjuration. I had to remember how to play the class, and one of the spells was missing from my bar. - A poison arrow hit for 10 and a leech for 8, by the numbers I read off the combat text. The leech also heals me, in theory.
- Level 8 gave a better pet. The pet rolled hits like 16, 11, 4 and 8 on a slave, and I changed its hit mode to deal with the misses.
- Dark Pact does not last long enough for me, at a duration of one minute, and I kept losing it. It does give mana back while it runs.
- Summoning the pet costs about half my mana bar, so I will not do it in the middle of a fight.
- Barrels and other objects on the ground can drop bone fragments. Those are worth opening at this level, because I was down to my last one by the end.
Captains and Goblin Slaves
Quest turn-ins and a little farming.
- I only killed three of the captains before turning in. I was out of mana and health and had just reached level 9, so I handed in early and then had to go back.
- The captain quest paid 5 platinum and 20 percent of a level. A later hand-in gave about 7 percent.
- Level 9 gave a new damage over time spell. The captions garble its name, but it is a life drain that works over time. Whether I had the mana to use it was another matter.
- The goblin slaves are low level, so I killed a few for the trade skill drop and the quest. A pet can solo one on its own.
- Sticky silk was the trade skill drop I needed. A named slave overseer sits in the middle of the zone and is part of the same chain.
- I sat to recover several times. Each rest was about five minutes of game time before I moved on.
The Egg and a Death
Soloing the named, and what it cost.
- The egg comes from a named mob in a crowd. His spawns attack as a group, so I tried to burn him down and accepted dying as the price, since I would still get the loot.
- It did not go well at first. My pet was attacking the wrong target, I could not split the group, and I was wasting mana on life taps.
- I got the egg anyway. Then I ran out of mana for a second kill and dropped, which put me right where I needed to be for the hand-in.
- Handing it in took me to level 10. The captions list new spells at that point, including a debuff, but they are garbled. I rearranged my bar afterwards.
- Some NPCs in the area are level 62. I saw a few of them in red and wondered why they were standing around the starter zone.
Level 10, Warm Blood and the Overlord
The new damage spell changed the pace.
- Warm blood hit for 28, against 10 for the lightning poison I had been using. I said it melted a kobold and that I do not need as many dots now.
- The remaining tasks were a captain, the Overlord and the pit quest. I decided the Overlord was the only target that mattered and took him the same way as the last one.
- I lost warm blood on him at one point. The pet was not helping, so I pulled the damage onto myself, ran dry and just healed until he was at about 16 percent.
- The Overlord dropped an armband and daggers. One dagger was a 2.9 delay weapon with a better ratio than mine, though it had an augment I could not remove without solvent.
- Intelligence was 183, which I called crazy for this level. I think I need to start looking for focus items.
- The Overlord gave no quest reward. I had expected something and got nothing special for the kill.
The Spirit Weaver, Level 11 and the Way Out
The last fight, then Crescent Reach.
- The spirit weaver was the last fight of the tutorial. I filled mana to 88 percent, sent the pet in, put down my damage over time, used aggression once and turned off taunting to soak some of the damage.
- Damage was good. I read about 30 to 38 per tick on the combat text, with a little uncertainty because I could not make the numbers out.
- The reward was a secondary item with a mana conservation effect, which I think was an object and not an augment. I wore the weaver's staff and a totem earlier in the session as well.
- Twilight cloth sandals were an upgrade. I also got a bracelet with a lot more stats, and I sold what I could to reach about 35 platinum.
- I reached level 11 afterwards. The captions give two new spells, Consuming Darkness and Focused Death, as pet improvements, but I would check those names in game.
- There is no mercenary to hire yet. I think mercenaries arrive with a later expansion, and I considered boxing a shaman or druid in the meantime, since I have three accounts until next year.
- You can leave through the back waterfall. Nothing keeps you in the tutorial except your own choice, and I walked out into Crescent Reach for the first time.
- The plan is to take this as far as it goes, expansion after expansion, staying on one character as long as I can. Crescent Reach is next week.
Finishing the Starter Area
- Open barrels and objects in the zone, because they can drop the bone fragments the class needs.
- Do not summon the pet in the middle of a fight. It costs about half the mana bar.
- Turn in the captains quest when you are out of mana and come back, since the turn-in pays 5 platinum and 20 percent.
- Burn the named egg holder with everything you have, and accept that a death is a cheap way to be back at the hand-in.
- Take the strong damage spell the moment you get it. Warm blood at 28 beats the 10 of the older damage over time.
- Turn off taunting on the pet if you want to take some of the damage yourself against the last fight.
- Leave through the back waterfall when you are done.

Hello and welcome to the Journey of Nouba Regard. Today we are still learning. I don’t know how many episodes I can stretch this out, but we’re already at level eight. I’ll kick us out of here somewhere around level 12-15, so there are still people here in training. Um, there are 405 people in total now . I don’t know how many of them are boxes , but, uh, the server is loading. Apparently there was a 200% experience bonus last week , and for some reason I did n’t see any news about it at all, so we’ll, uh, start here, uh, pick one of these quests and try to knock it out. I think in last week’s episode we, uh, were trying to get, uh, a flutter- wing egg, right? It falls out of that guy . Uh, we got killed, so we’re , uh, going to deal with it and see what else we can do along the way. Uh, let’s see if we can complete some of these quests, maybe get to level nine or ten. Maybe then we’ll have enough, uh , strength to get past some of these things. Uh, but, you know, I’m having fun. And that’s all that matters to me. So, let’s take a look. Do we have any quests? Uh , we need to kill a few captains. Let’s do this one. Uh, he’s here, at the Twilight Abyss Port. So we should be able to get to it easily. Now, I don’t think they’ll attack, do they? Or not. Good. Okay, this is a warrior. We don’t need it. Okay, we accomplished something. There is a warrior. There is another warrior. Let’s move past this guy. Who is this guy? There’s the captain. Good. So, let’s see if I remember how to play this guy. Okay, we’re going to use Poison Arrow. Next up is “Cloud of Sickness” and, um, I don’t know why I don’t have that on my panel . I thought I put it there, but we’re going to do “The Clinging Darkness.” It would just give us a little extra damage from the point, right? We did n’t need to make that last point. Perfectly. OK. So, the loot is automatic. And apparently, these barrels and some other things on the ground can drop bone fragments, which will actually come in handy here very soon. So , they’re definitely, um, definitely worth opening up, especially at this lower level, right? Apparently this server is, um, much further away than I am right now. But you know what. Okay, Poison Arrow into Clinging Darkness into Cloud of Disease with Ailactone. If we can play it. That’s it. Okay, then we’ll take another one up there. Now there is a named one in this area , but it is higher level, and there will be something like multiples to do it. So, that’s going to be one of those things that we, um, think about. Now, right here, we can do it. I guess I’ll just click on it, right? No, maybe I’ll pass it on to him. That’s it. Okay, sabotage. This will give us, um, this is it. So, let’s get this guy out while we wait for that. And that will knock out one of those quests. That’s it. And I think we have a new pet. I think this is, um, one of the improvements we got at level eight, right? So it should be a little nicer there. The Dark Pact just doesn’t last long enough for me. Duration one minute, oh. Well, because. Give me some. And give me some. Give me a little bit of duration here. That’s it. And with that, everything is ready. A piece of iron . Have I already picked this one? Er , yes. So we never need it again. Uh, there’s a quest you can do inside, uh , inside the little town for that, so. Let’s see if we can fulfill these other captains. That’s it. And one. And you see, that’s five. And four. And I asked, uh , asked the EverQuest Legends community manager if I could share this interface. Because I was asked a few questions about him. And he said he would ask the team, but he hasn’t answered me yet. So, uh, he could have forgotten. He must be a busy man. So, you know, that’s how it is. For example, if you really want to have the modern interface from EverQuest Legends when you play EverQuest, uh, the easiest way to do that is to just ask Claude to convert it for you. It literally takes seconds because it’s literally the same thing. You just need to remove, for example, the EverQuest Legends client adds, uh, some new API features, right? To make some of these things a little more user-friendly, right? Uh , or you can right-click and change display , right? There’s a new API in the client that’s not in this client, so you know, that’s something you can do there. So, uh, let’s see. Okay, we can finish with them. We’re just going to turn them in because, first of all, we’re out of mana. Secondly, we’re out of health, and, uh, thirdly, we just reached level nine, which, uh , let me quickly see if that gives us a new spell. A mental graph, uh, wave suction. Okay, the sucking sound seems like it would be pretty good, I think. Put this on the panel. Let’s see what it will yield. Uh, I know it’s like taking away life over time, obviously, but do we have the mana to apply it? Do we have, you know, something like “I can’t move”? What? Oh, I was walking. Okay, let’s go here. Uh, so we’re, you know, going to have to, uh , restore our health and all that . Uh, I’m, honestly , I’m thinking about, you know, boxing the character, uh, and making my life a little easier , like , adding a shaman or something, uh, so I can get, uh, regeneration and, uh, some extra points and so on. So I…I was thinking about it. Well, I have, you know, something…I have three accounts until next year. So I mean, it’s like…maybe, right? Okay, great. Okay, that completes, uh, what gave us five platinum points , 20% experience for completing this quest, which is good. Uh, you see. We need to go. Oh, I only killed three captains. Well, go to hell. I did n’t finish it. Everyone… Let’s have a quick talk with the other guy. Uh, just killing time to hand over these things. While we’re, uh , trying to get some resources back. It seems like everything is dead anyway, right? Like…who am I…Who am I fooling here? I mean…Yeah, I don’t want to attack. No. Okay, there, there, there. Here. Okay, we need to talk to you. L. Let’s go. We have 7% experience for this. Knock it out. Uh, let’s see. Let’s open this. Can I? Let’s go. I do n’t know why my keyboard? Let’s go. The little switch was down. Okay, that’s good. So, we need slaves. Now, the goblin slaves are literally here. So we can kill a few of them while we’re here, while we’re at it for resources, because they’re lower level, right? For example, hmm, a pet might actually kill one of them. Perhaps. Let me take a look. I’m going to use a leech on the next one to see how much it will heal me. That’s it. Now, where is my pity? Okay, a poison arrow deals 10, a leech deals eight . But, I believe that the leech is healing me. Theoretically. Let’s see. Uh, let’s get to it. Oh, I do n’t even have enough mana to play this here. Let’s just…Let’s see what the pet is doing here. So, the student rolls 16, 11, 4, 8. He has several misses. Eh, let’s do these hit modes. Other misses are normal. Hit mode. Other hits are normal . Hit mode. Normal. OK. So, this should fix it. Okay, that worked. I don’t even have to do anything. Good. So, we will make a dark pact again. What will give us, uh, this? Then we should…No, I don’t have enough mana to drain. This should start giving us some mana back while we’re at it. Which is pretty good. I mean, he’s hitting 16 and I didn’t have to do anything, so… Okay, we need another slave, and then we need the one that was named. Well, let’s do this quickly. He’s down here, in the center of the zone. I’m just knocking out these quests. Little split, right? Uh, sure, uh, but you know, I’m thinking about a druid, you know, maybe a shaman. Uh, and I just want something that I can, I can, I can, you know, add that I can just follow me, right? No need …Oh, there’s a guy there with a name. Let’s see. Let’s see if they can help him. Good. Uh, you know, maybe this could, you know, speed up this whole thing. I can stay alone. Eh, I think mercenaries are coming very soon. And I kind of dragged it out, right? Like no, don’t get me wrong. I was moving somewhat slowly. Well, well, let’s see. What is it? October. Lethar is right here. Buried sea, right? So, I think it’s not the Buried Sea, but something that… Let me check this. Trying to use my mind here, uh, which is no longer there. Ah, so, the Mysteries of the Buried Sea of Fador, the Place of Destruction. The Place of Destruction, I believe, is when Mercenaries are added. So, you know, we’re not that far from it, uh. Which would kind of negate my whole, you know, even need for…Oh, my God …Oh, what is this? One endurance. What do we have here? No. Leave it to the corpse. Good. Okay, I’m going to the medical school. Uh, you know, this will take a second. Well, it doesn’t matter. Let’s just let the pet do its thing, okay? Let’s see what he does. Can I sit while he strokes? That’s it, great. OK. And it should be an NPC with a high corpse level. Let’s change that to “everything with a high corpse level” . That’s it. Now we don’t have to look at other people’s corpses. Okay, look at this pet. This pet literally just solos destroys this goblin slave, which will still bring out the thing we needed. Sticky Silk …Can I get a thumbnail of it? That’s it. Er, a trading skill. Okay, that’s always necessary. Okay, now I’m going to medical school for the next 5 minutes. Okay, we’re full of mana, so I’m going to move forward. Uh, just ignore these slaves and hopefully we’ll get to the one we need right away, knock him out. Now, as I’ve said in previous episodes, we’re going to go all the way through Crescent Reach and all the way through the game. So it will be quite interesting to see there. Okay , we’re going to poison the arrow. Uh, I’m going to drink it. And then, uh, let’s trap him. And we will do it. So, it has to be. Now we get eight units of healing from the drink, and the drink deals eight units of damage perfectly. Okay, it’s literally a worthless pickaxe, so we’ll never pick it up. But we did this quest, so…Uh, I’m going to kill this spirit-pouring weaver for his staff. Uh, because, uh, we’re going to need some money here pretty soon . We’re at 35 platinum , right? I sold everything we looted in the last few episodes, cleaned out the bags a bit. This is what we got today. Uh, looks like we got Twilight Cloth Sandals from somewhere. So, let me look at them. Yes, that’s an improvement. Shvonki. I put them on. Perfectly. And we got the spirit weaver doo-doo totem, uh, which is primary/secondary. Let’s, uh, put this on. Good. Let’s get out of here. I said totem pole. I meant voodoo. I’m losing consciousness. Good. So, we’re done with this. This one goes back to Kalachi. Which one exactly? I don’t see it on the map. Oh. This guy wanted some. So, we’re going to do five. Okay, five and six. We’ll have to meet again, obviously. This is really important. I’m going to move this food out of here. I don’t know why I put food here. Maybe to protect the feed or trading skills, I don’t know. I don’t know what I was thinking then, but I’m going to do it. Let ‘s go here. Good. Now, I think we’re ready to go to jail and beat this guy up. We’ll meet this fool before we take him out, of course. But, I think that will be something like the next thing we need to do there. We can pass here. And it shouldn’t be…It shouldn’t be too difficult, right? I don’t think it will be…Oh, there’s Kalesgos. Oh. As a choice . Okay, they picked this guy up. Did you see this? They…They left…They just left…What level are these sons of [ __ ]? They are red. They are level 62. Why are they…Why are we even having this conversation here? Uh, so we got a bracelet that gave us, uh, a bunch more stats, actually. That’s why I’m spending all this time here, because we’re going to have all these characteristics, right? We’ll be like going to Hook and all that, getting things without any specification. And, uh , like this: Oh, my pet is somewhere overcoming the slave overseer himself. Somewhere my pet did this. Okay, that’s great. Okay, we’ll just make our way here to, uh, get where we need to go, eventually. Before I do that, before something without mana attacks me. We will do it. Just to get through all these guys. We don’t need a locksmith. We don’t need any of these guys, right? So we’ll just go through here. And you can see that he raised his two guards. It looks like there’s a line. So, uh , sit here. There is no room. Okay, let’s see if maybe these guys, like when I played World of Warcraft forever, every time I showed up to do one of these little ones, like, where it’s like a mini- name. Well, it seems like everyone would invite them, right? So, let’s see if these guys, this guy, and his box here are friendly. Let’s get down to dark packaging. So, we need an egg from this guy, and that’s all we need to do for that. Unlock this task. Then we can go back to the captain’s area, knock them out, and I think we’re almost done. I need mana for this guy anyway . So I’m going to get some mana while I wait here. Okay, so this guy didn’t answer. We’re just going to, we’re just going to do it. I’m going to do it this way, I’m going to try to burn that one. Uh, if I die, it doesn’t matter because I get the loot. Right? So, let’s, uh, try to get him here. Oh my God. This will be difficult. Slow. Let’s go. I’ll start clicking on life once I get all my dots. Let’s go. OK. This doesn’t work very well. Uh, we can’t do that. We might have to fix this again . Nice motorcycle. Like me, and there’s no way it would be divided, right? So, you know, don’t tell me to split it when I can’t, okay? It’s definitely an uphill battle for this, uh, this level of content. Of course. And my pet doesn’t even attack the right one. Glad I noticed that. I’m wasting a lot of my mana here. I’m pressing life on it, but I feel like it’s probably the smartest thing I can do right now since I can’t get these other spawns at all. No. Okay, perfect. Okay, we got it. Uh, we do n’t want that. We can sell it. We can leave it at that too. Let’s go. So, we got our egg. Now, I think if someone here is sent a target, it won’t work. I think something my pet is going to cook will cook. So, we don’t have the mana to make another one either. Therefore. OK. I think we’ll just have to die here. I don’t think I can escape this. Yes. So, let’s just see how it goes, shall we? I mean, it’s like it’s no big deal. Right? But it will put us exactly where we need to be to be able to pass this. Therefore. Eh, whatever suits me. We hand that in, then go back to killing the captain and the Overlord, and then we need to get the quest for the pit , and we’re done. We are finished with the learning task . So let’s try…let’s try to finish this today. We’re only 25 minutes in, and we’ve made more progress today than we’ve made in total since release. We can kill this one before, um, we die too. Oh my God. I can’t cast a spell today. OK. That’s all. We’re ready, guys. Yes, it was a good, good run. I will never play this game hardcore. I’ll tell you this now. Er, maybe legends. Uh, you know, like with some, well, certain things, but okay. Done. Okay, we can hand it over to this guy. Gives us level 10. Uh, we can move on to the knowledge plane. We have heat blood, a new point, and the scent of dusk, which is a debuff, right? So, let’s get rid of … Oh, wait. I still can’t get rid of the Bone Walk. We’ll do it here in a second. Actually, let’s do this. Let’s get rid of the Bone Walk. Fire, warm blood. Let’s get rid of the Shadow Gathering. And we will pass this on to the pet. That’s it. Not that we can do anything about it. All this extra, uh, mana and stuff. OK. So, I’m going to fix the next 5 minutes and we’ll be right back. Good. We are strengthened. There is a pet. And, uh, I think we lost the Dark Pact again. Good. So, we have mana. Let’s go make our way to the captain and, uh, see what happens. We have one more point, right? Which will deal, uh, 28 damage, right? Which is incredible. It should deal an incredible amount of damage. Now, summoning my pet costs me half my mana bar. Uh, that’s something that , uh, we just won’t do during combat. Uh, honestly, okay. So, Maddock, maybe he’ll give me a pet now. That’s it. I accept. Good. So, we have our last three tasks to knock out this area, and then we’re in Crescent Reach. And, uh, we’re doing Crescent Reach next week. Uh, but, we’re going to… we’re going to finish the tutorial today. So, I hope, uh, I hope nothing, uh , will ruin it. Let me check again. Reachability talked to the dead. Good. I just want to make sure I haven’t gotten anything new that would, uh, prevent us from doing anything. Oh, that’s what I wanted, right now. That’s it. We are going to kill this captain. Uh, let’s see what warm blood does, shall we? Uh, we deal 10 points of damage with poison lightning. Heat blood is 28 units of damage. Oh my God, look at this. Look at this melting of this poor kobold. Okay, look at this. Oh my God. Uh, much better. Okay , it’s done. Now, with this new knowledge, we don’t need to use as many points as we used before. We’re just using this guy. And then maybe a leech, right? And it’s taking…It’s sucking up a bunch of our mana right here. Uh, as soon as we get out of there, I have this, uh, penguin mount that I bought. Okay, I bought it thinking I could pin it here. Uh , but that’s not how it works, right? We are inside. Good. So, uh, let’s take this Spirit Weaver. We might have to fix it, which would ruin this whole, uh, this whole charge. Well, I mean, I’m just saying. I think the pet will be able to get through this on its own. I meant, I meant I have , I have to “fix the bones.” Maybe I’ll have to , uh, be the guy who treats the pets now. Uh, that would be fun. Let’s open a new bar. Uh, see what we have? Is this…is it locked? Yes, locked. Okay, we’ll set the bar right here. Uh, let’s put “show spinner”. And let’s just clear everything on this button. This is just my travel timeline from the usual Nomeragon. And then we’re going to center horizontally, which I’ve almost achieved. Good. So, I can go in a little bit more . Let’s go here. Look here. Good. You see, here he is , the boy. I was looking for exactly this. Therefore. That’s it. And we’ll just make one point. Which was the wrong point. Okay, let’s move them in order, because the third one is like mine…I feel like I hit her more often. Uh , but it still works well, this pet …He’s a good guy, so…Actually, I can give this pet…Yes. Let’s take a [ __ ] with a whip . Here. Let’s sit for a second. And I want something like…So, here he is, the guy. And I think there’s another guy here. And then there are two guys over there. And we just need to kill this guy, right? Therefore. Let’s get some more mana. And, uh, I hope this will pass now. Congratulations on level 10. Let’s go. Okay, so let’s get started. Uh, we’re going to…We’re going to deal with this guy right here. Let’s just be afraid. I’m afraid I’ll take two, uh, but yeah, there’s one…yeah…Yeah, we’ve dealt with everyone. Good. We are changing plans . Overlord is the only target we care about right now. We’re going to deal with it the same way we dealt with the last one, because if we die, we die, right? Uh , deal with him nice and clean. That’s it. And then let’s keep ourselves in shape with the push- ups of life. He’s level 10, so we… we’re awfully… we’re very resilient here, right? Uh -uh , I’m going to take aim at this warrior. I just noticed he’s almost dead. We will put warm blood on it . And then we’ll go back to the Overlord, if I can get my sights on him. That’s it. Perfectly. OK. We lost heat blood on Overlord. I did it because the pet wasn’t helping, and, well, you know, it’s in my best interest to do it. Okay, I’m out of mana. What? Uh, so we’re going to start taking a little more damage. I’ll just try to do what I can. Just heal. Overlord is at 16%, so I feel like it should be good. And then, I know my pet can get through this damn Spirit Weaver on his own . Uh, so until we die, we should be fine here. OK. We started. Boom. Okay, let’s take the armband and the dagger. Let’s take two daggers. I don’t know if I can sell it. Oh, there’s more. It doesn’t matter. OK. Thank you. I want this son of a [ __ ] so I can sit down. We started. This is how it’s done, guys. You, uh, you’re lucky. 100% luck. Okay, what do we get from this guy? We have a 2.9 caliber dagger. Oh, look at that damn dagger. Can I even use this dagger? This…This is a better ratio. Good. We’re going to shrink it, and we’re going to remove this weird thing. I guess I’ll have to open the tool tip again. Oh, I can’t remove it because I don’t have it…I forgot. You must have solvents. Er, solvents. Uh-huh. Uh, okay. Okay, this captain shouldn’t be a problem, right? We shouldn’t have any problems here. Ahem. Let me see if I can get a pet. That’s it. I’ll let the pet do the work while I sit and get treated, because that’s the pet’s job, right? The pet is there to make my life easier. Look at all this money we made. How about all these sticks. Uh, what is this? Stitched. You can put this here. Good. Throwing them in my, uh, warehouse of trading skills. I don’t know if I’ll ever need them or not. But, uh, since this account of mine uses my trade skill inventory for all my characters, I have plenty of room. Well, because. Come on. Kill this captain. Thank you very much. 4% of the experience is sitting on my ass. Perfectly. OK. This is almost the end. We have one more left. What kind of character is this? I can’t even say. Hmm. Come on. Now we’re going to have to get some mana before we actually get into this fight, so, uh, there’s going to be another break for medicine. I guess I’ll have to fight the Spirit Weaver, right? Probably. I didn’t think it was this cave. No, that’s not true. That’s the cave over there. That’s it. And if we can kill this guy, we should be ready to, uh, learn at this point. Okay, trampled slave. A trampled slave. Here he is. Good. I’m going to get treated, get a full cure, and then we’re, uh, ready. Okay, so we have 88% mana. I was looking at my stats and realized that we had an intelligence of 183, which is pretty, you know, pretty crazy for this level. So, I think everything is fine. Here he is. We are going to send a pet . And I’ll start connecting the dots. I do n’t know how long this pet will last, but I have to use aggression once, once this all starts here. Is this 78? That’s it. You see, I used aggression. I’ll come a little closer. I used 50% of my mana playing all those dots that I had already played again. That’s it. It seems that this spell was resisted. That’s it. That’s it…That’s it…I’m going to turn off taunting to absorb some of the damage. Good. Krenchyn by 45%. We are doing pretty well. Can you see what this is? 38? Yes, at least 30-38 damage per tick. I can’t , I can’t, I do n’t have glasses. I do n’t see them. I don’t see anything, like eight? I do n’t know. Good. Uh, let’s warm up the blood again. This doesn’t last long. I feel like I need to start getting some focus items, right? I think that’s probably where we’re going to, uh, you know, have to put in some effort. These are the focus items and this hint. Uh, that’s probably another reason why you don’t want to use my interface. Uh, I don’t see a way to increase the size. Or close it without pressing Escape. That’s it. That’s it. We have the spirit weaver nexus, which is secondary, mana conservation one. A. It is within range. Thank you very much . Is this an aug or an object? This is an object. That’s it. Get rid of this thing here. Good. Guys, we won. We won, and then we left a piece of bronze on the corpse. This will be a screenshot for that. I should think about this more. Good. Let’s do it like this. Screenshot . Boom. That’s it. I always have a hard time finding a good screenshot for everything. Okay, let’s get out of here, and we’ve made it today . You know what. I have n’t been to the end of this guide for a long… long time. Uh, but we finally did it. Uh , we need to go all the way. So let’s talk to the guards. We need to get some other reward. I think there is something like a weapon. And maybe some additional armor that we don’t have yet. I don’t know 100% what we’ll get, but okay. Long live. So, we get our stick. That’s it. And then let’s congratulate him. Okay, I guess we got nothing for killing the overlord. I think it’s just…Uh , it is what it is. So it looks like we can’t do this with a mercenary. I think this is the only one. I’ll try again real quick before we leave here, but, look, I wanted bone fragments. We have one bone fragment left, so we’ll have to make an effort to look for bones. There seem to be a few in Crescent Reach, so I agree, and then…Yes, you can fight. Fight. Do it quickly enough? No. Uh, hello, hello, right click. That’s it, it won’t work. Good. Good. Er, mercenary for hire. Oh, I’ll need this later. In any case, it will go away. Okay , welcome him. And we hit level 11, which gave us consuming darkness and focused death, which is a nice little improvement for pets. And we can exit through the back waterfall here, like we could all the time , right? Nothing is keeping you in this manual except your own will and determination, but, you know, you might have to fight these guys, but, you know, nothing is keeping you here . Good. I’m going to lose touch. Yes, I’m ready to escape. Okay, so here we are for the first time in Crescent Reach. Okay, that’s it. Uh, we made some progress today. Those were good times, weren’t they? If you remember the original series of ” Without Mergard,” we think we did it in… we did it in one episode. Uh, but it was much faster, I think. But, uh , you know what? So, here it is . Uh, that’s all. So, next week we will be dealing with this area. I think, uh, the first quest is right here. So, uh , this is where we’re going next week. And, uh, I hope we like it. We’ll go all the way through, uh, Serpent’s Backbone and, uh, maybe expansion after expansion. Uh, how we do things, right? Try to push this as far as possible . I’ll try to stay on the box as long as possible, but, uh, I’ll always have the thought in my head that we might need help to do something. So that’s something to consider. But, thank you for watching , and have a wonderful day.
More from Nomeregard's Journey
Progress in the Reach
A full day of Crescent Reach quest running at level 11 on Lethar: cougar fangs, mushrooms, lemonade, a torch and a ceremonial blade, then a long and vague hunt for the Spirits of Wisdom and Truth in Dragon Grove. The Necromancer is at 204 intelligence with one point of mana regeneration and a new pet on the way, and there is an announcement of a separate Shaman series on a live server.
The Reach Around
The start of the Crescent Reach quest hub on Lethar at level 11: a riding penguin at speed 75, the first rounds of guild and council quests, a sabotage elixir for a jealous brother, a flag for the tailor, and enough cougars, snakes and spiders to find that mana regeneration is the real limit. It ends with a sore throat and a possible change to the upload schedule.
Lethar, We Come
Starting a Necromancer from nothing on Lethar, a quiet live EverQuest server with no pick zones. The tutorial for baseline gear and platinum, a Legends UI skin ported across, and a mercenary the server will not let me hire.
