Reaper of the Dead (SK PR Click)

Hello and welcome to EverQuest Legends beta. Today what we’re going to do is uh work on the quest called the Reaper of the Dead. Now this will give us a um promised renewal right clicky for the Shadow Knight. Now uh if you remember in my last video I leveled up a warrior, a cleric, and enchanter just to get the enchanter high enough so that I can cast uh benevolence. And uh what we’re going to do today is uh try to do this quest. Now we need to go over to the toll booth uh right about here. Uh there should be a dark elf and that dark elf should uh like us. Where is my Where’s my clicky? All my UIs are all all crazy here. All right, let’s grab this. Pop it right there. We’re going to turn into a dark elf. This is a mask from uh Lorgok. Right. Now I tried doing this without an enchanter before I did this and I did not have enough faction at in uh indifferent to uh talk to this guy. So hopefully at uh benevolence plus this we should be fine. Uh but who knows? Now what we’re going to do is we’re going to say the word to him and he’s going to give us uh uh a tattered note and then we’re going to take that tattered note into uh into the uh the dungeon here just to save it before I land. So we’re going to walk over to him and we’re going to uh benevolence him. He’s indifferent. He’s now amiably and we’re going to say um you talk Adara Rev Octin period. And there we go. You speak the words of the dead. You must be an assistant uh assistant of Law Lovol. Uh You must be the assistant Lovol wants to send. You must quickly work inside the fallen. There are three pieces of effects mallet which must be returned to Lovol. Find Hubbard Elrod. He was my assistant. Give him this note and he should give you information. The effects mallet. Effects mallet is a very special weapon given to the of Elven creation. It is an ancient is is it is as ancient as Norrath itself. Queen Cristanos commands that we find it and return it to Lovolsenaz. That is all you need to know. All right. So, we got the quest part here. Now, there is a there is a precursor in the uh inside of uh uh inside of uh Neriak third gate that you can talk to the guy and he’s going to tell you to come talk to this guy. Um he’s a guild master, I believe, and so I could not uh get my faction up with him. Uh I think so what it the what the problem was where I just didn’t have the enchanter at the time. Uh I didn’t have the faction indifferent to be able to get the the quest to send me here. So, we’re going to go in here uh and we’re going to create a instance. Now, we’re going to do this at uh uh let’s let’s let’s do it at difficulty two. Uh difficulty four isn’t worth doing it, but uh we can do it difficult, too. Uh here we go and then uh see personal instance. We’re going to have respawning and difficulty two. I think that’ll make it fun. Um I’m currently in one cuz I’m still in my Blackburrow one from earlier. So, {{}slash} pick two create. And that should put us in a two, hopefully. All right. So, from here, we got to go find skeleton L Rod and then we got to go tell him uh we give him the note and he’s going to say find Windstream, find the mallet, Right? And then handing in that note will spawn a dude on the third floor. Uh and then we uh go and do that. And then once we have all those items, we’ll do some more stuff. So, let’s go ahead and uh start here now. Like this is just basic stuff right here, so we shouldn’t have to worry about any of this. Uh we are only 22, so you know, there could be something that’s going to cause issues and I didn’t bring my key, so see if I can find this guy. I can’t remember exactly where he is. I think it was the other door, right? We’re just going to kind of just check out this is and this is the revamped Befallen, by the way, so Oh, there he is right there. Hey, buddy. Uh so, we’re going to hand him the tattered cloth note. Like so. And then he says find Windstream, find the mallet, 1 2 3, like I said. So, now we need to go down to the lower floor. So, what we’re going to do before we do that is go in here, go around. We’re going to kill her, but uh it’s the store over here, right? Yeah, so this this right here, she’s a named uh you can get here in this zone. All right, my key’s bound differently than normal. There we go. Left tab and left tab, right? She drops this ebony scythe, which is actually like a really nice weapon if you are if you’re low level, so definitely nice there. Uh but what I’m looking for is the shadow knight, which is this door. Totally [laughter] It’s been a while since I’ve been here. This guy right here. Kill him. Oh, never mind. We We >> [laughter] >> I have them set to assault. Oh my god, I’m screwed. Um see auto uh advance the loot. I’ve done Bafallen before, so I already have all these things marked as like sell and crap like that. Key, all right, so we’re going to remove all these from the sell thing real quick. Um I think we can skip this one anyway. The next Shadow Knight we should be able to get to. Let’s try it and see. All right, so we got that one. Uh we killed the first named anyway, so see here achievements. Is there a hunter for this one in this zone? Hunter da da da da da da da da I don’t see Bafallen. All right. That’s another bug report, I guess. All right. Yeah, we can’t open this unless you have the key, so we have to do that, I guess. Could have swore they changed it, so that one was not locked. Uh but it’s quick spawn, so we’ll just wait a second. All right, 5 minutes later and now we can kill him again. And there we go. We get the key, so that gives us the key to the first door. I killed her again, so killing farmed a little bone chips, you know. Getting a little bone chip. And we can just click the door now and it opens. All right, so our goal is to find uh see that guy. Now, this is going to be the second floor right here, so uh we got to find another Shadow Knight down here, so he’s like right down here. But most of this stuff’s not even a threat to us. It’s like level 12, so this this is a very nice leveling dungeon. Or you could probably come in here at one and just stay up top. Uh loot yourself that ebony scythe if you’re a uh melee. And uh you know, go all the way to the bank there. So, we just need to go through this door. So, just ignore these guys, I guess. Till something attacks. Keep going through there. Oh, getting some green ones. All right, we can kill these ones, though. Definitely taking a little damage from these guys. Now, I’m using uh I’m not using a two-hander because I felt it was too slow for my uh way I like to play. I like I like swinging fast. Uh especially like reave and stuff, right? It’s definitely uh more fun that way. All right, we’re going to go through here. All right, so there’s a trap right here. All right, we don’t have the door to that one. Uh so, this one over here, I think has the tr- Yeah. There’s the traps. We’re going to go like this. Shadow Knight, kill her, and then we can want this one. So, we kill him. And then we go back over here. We don’t fall in the hole. Oh, we got to hold this key for some reason. Don’t know why. And we’re inside this room, which is an apprentice. He wants to fight us. And I’m not really like th- this is not my normal build, so this is just so I can have the enchanter. So, I don’t have all my stuff like fully set up correctly. But, uh All right, yeah, there’s the Shadow Knight we’re looking for. We just whack him down real quick. And then we want the smoked glass key, right? I guess us Yeah, and if you kill this last one, like you get all the keys, right? So, uh it’s not not too terrible. If you don’t like that’s why they’re on all on auto sell before, but it’s not too terrible that way. Now, can go out this door. We have to hold the key though, I guess. Go back this way. Go through here. I think this is going to take us cuz we’re going to we’re going to go down the stairs normally. Uh you can fall down these holes, but we’re going to do do it normal just for the sake of this and then go over here. And then it puts us right here. And then we got these There’s a guy there, footman. Plus two blues, right? So, let’s kill this mummy. I don’t know how this is going to go, right? >> [laughter] >> So, I’m going to go ahead and AoE mass just to like eliminate some threat here. I don’t think that actually worked on that, but we do have the enchanter pet out. He’s pretty badass, so he’s just going to probably kill us and stuff. We’re actually getting a little bit of experience from this too, so that’s pretty good. But and then footman whatever, right? Now, he’s the guy that drops I think the footman’s blade is what it was, right? Now, he’s dropping gloves right now. Uh he normally drops I think the footman’s blade, which is a nice weapon. Now, we got the elf skeleton on us. Is that one we have to kill? All right, he we’re going to have to kill this guy a few times. He’s going to drop the mallet head or nothing. So, uh that’s just kind of how that goes. But, now we’re down on the bottom floor. So, we’re kind of where we need to be. Uh we’re going to go through this fake wall. The guy we want is right on the other side of the fake wall. So, we’re going to kill this stuff and go there and that should give us part of the uh >> [screaming] >> what we’re looking for there. But, you can see here the aggro is pretty crazy. Uh antique silver band. Uh it’s a good 4 AC item if you don’t have one, but uh we don’t I thought it was so. Earringless robe. Um I’m going to sell that. It’s not good for me right now. All right, let’s I go through the invisible like right. Where is that? Right here. There, there’s the guy we’re looking for. Zombie guy. So, Commander Windstream I believe is what his name is. Go ahead life tap him. Probably just bring him down without much effort. There we go. Now we get the mallet stem. So, we’re going to save that. That’s part of this thing we need to do. Now, that elf skeleton we killed, he drops the head and the the hilt. So, uh we need those and then uh they go inside this. This is a container. So, uh we kind of where where we go with that here in just a moment. So, now we need to go back through here. Now, we’re going to come back here uh come back into the zone with um with a monk. Uh I’m leveling a monk next monk uh warrior monk clerics what I’m going to be leveling after this. I just needed the enchanter to do this quest. So, I’ll be leveling that next. And we’re going to come in here at level 10 and uh do Befallen. So, you’ll see it uh see it again in a [clears throat] follow-up video. We’re going to wait for this elf skeleton respawn. We got to kill him until we get the head and the hilt and then we combine the two giving us the Fex Mallet. And then we take the Fex Mallet back to Neriak third gate, turn it into Lovell, and he will give us the Reaper of the Dead, which will allow us to right click Promise Renewal. All right, we got another skeleton and we get the mallet helmet hilt. [laughter] So, we need one more item off him and then we’ll be able to uh finish this quest up. All right, we got another elf skeleton about like 5 minutes later, I think. And he dropped nothing. So, uh it is what it is. So, we’re going to wait a few more minutes until we get that and then uh when we have that item, we will continue from there. Oh my, finally. >> [laughter] >> All right, so we got the mallet head now. So, we can take that. So, I got two mallet hilts in the uh time that it took me to do that. And uh I got a plus four on the all like almost everything here. Uh we’ll talk about those here and then uh probably the next video. But, uh let’s go ahead and combine this thing. That’s the correct bag. So, we take the mallet stem, we take the hilt, and we take the head. We combine those together. Let’s put our bag back there and we get the Fex Mallet, which is a relatively terrible weapon. All right, so what do we do now? Da da da fix mallet. So once we combine it back together, we need to go back to the third gate and turn this in. So uh wish me luck. Uh so I’m going to use my ritual. Uh which is the uh Neriad ritual right here uh to go there. I’m going to run to the third gate and uh we’ll go from there. All right, so here’s the turn [laughter] in. I don’t think it’s going to work because uh I am indifferent and so I don’t think I’m going to get it, but let’s see what happens. I complete the trade and he gives it back to me. All right. Now uh that is unfortunate. I don’t know what the minimum faction we need is for this. Uh let’s double-check. I’m looking. Doesn’t say. Oh, okay, here we go. Must have amiable faction with the dark dark elf necromancer and shadow knight guild. Now unfortunately, you can’t even do benevolent on these uh NPCs, right? It’s uh can’t cast it on there. So uh there is a mob uh Lenara Parlone. She spawns in the jail area in uh the genos. So I’m going to go kill her and see if I can get to amiable. And then uh we’ll continue uh we’ll come back here and we’ll turn it in. All right. Several hours later and a guide video in between to show how to get the faction. So, uh I cover the how to do it in the uh the dead faction. Uh we are now amiably. So, uh hopefully this works. We’re going to hand him the Fex Mallet. Give that over and we get the There, look at that. Promised Renewal Reaper of the Dead. Now, uh let’s see if I can go ahead and uh get get it to rank four real quick. Uh otherwise, I got to go farm more stuff. So, there you go, rank one. And uh there’s going to be rank two. There we go. And then, which one is rank three? That one’s rank three. So, we just grab rank three one and two. Two. There we go. Rank three. Oh, and we can already pull it out. Perfect. I thought I had to go all the way to four. All right. So, now we take out We take that out. And it’s a 1,200 second reuse. So, obviously not that useful. But, there we go. Promised Renewal level required 45. It’s a 2-second cast time. Uh but uh we get uh Promised Renewal as a Shadow Knight, right? So, that’s pretty cool. Whole Whole point of that. >> [laughter] >> You know, it’s it’s uh it’s it’s like what Is that That’s like a 20-minute reuse, right? So, uh you know, definitely not as good as the the Paladin one, but uh you know, it’s definitely just another click in the arsenal, right? So, we’ll just pop that on uh on the bar somewhere, right right there. But, uh definitely uh some effort there to get that item. Uh but uh you know, it is something extra for the shadow right. We’ll use that in the videos to come. But, uh, definitely there you go. So, that’s how you get the reaper of the dead. Uh, and then if you if you don’t have the dead faction, you’ll need to follow the video for, uh, doing the faction. Uh, it it’s pretty much go to Nagina and kill a high elf, uh, four or five times to, uh, get to amiable. And then you’re good to go. But, uh, there you go. Thank you very much for watching.
