Lord Nagafen - WAR / ENC / CLR - d4 - solo
Lord Nagafen at difficulty four with Warrior, Enchanter and Cleric, the fight I expected to be easy and parsed at 233 DPS, about 15 above Lady Vox. A charmed pet adds the rest, I finish with plenty of mana, and I say outright that I am about done with the Enchanter outside of leveling.
Lord Nagafen at difficulty four with Warrior, Enchanter and Cleric, the next fight in this set after Lady Vox. I have killed him a million times by now, so I did not expect trouble and did not get any. The parse averages 233 DPS, about 15 more than Lady Vox, with less total damage from me and a lot less healing needed. The build finishes with good mana, and my honest verdict is that the Enchanter is not what I want in a boss fight.

The captions spell several differently, so I have used the Lady Vox spellings. - Grasping Embrace is on the bar too, and it gives pretty good damage for what it is.
- The one gear change is the breastplate. I took it to plus 9 with tokens I had earned and to plus 10 with my last token, just to finish the piece. Everything else is as in the Lady Vox video.
- The pet is charmed, because my damage is lacking. The fight does not really need it.
- Stats going in: 7,255 hit points, almost 5,000 mana and 586 armour class, with attack somewhere near 800 by my reading of a garbled caption.
The Fight
Slow him, add the dot, then attack and watch.
- Nagafen is now perfectly suitable for soloing. I run in, put Tashani on him so he is slowed, throw Grasping Embrace and auto attack the rest of the time.
- He is a Warrior, Cleric and Necromancer in one, so expect a lot of damage over time effects and a few stripped buffs. At this point it does not matter.
- I keep everything refreshed. Promised Renewal, Grasping Embrace and the ward all get recast, and the ward is the one to bring back first. It was my third biggest hitter in the Lady Vox parse.
- Offensive stance is all you need, for this and for most things in the game.
- Discordant Mind is on the bar and I do not use it. At rank zero it hits for 449, I have not ranked it up, and sitting there spamming it is a waste of damage next to close combat.
- The pet broke free mid fight, which I think is the first time that has happened to me outside a Bard. I charmed him again, and then he was subdued.
What the Parse Says
Slightly better than Lady Vox, with fewer assists.
- 233 DPS on average, about 15 above Lady Vox. I did less of the damage myself, 56,000 against 62,000, with 74,000 overall.
- Main hand 74 DPS and off hand 52. The weapons carry the fight, as they did against Vox.
- Ward of the Divine parry did less than last time, because it was only up for about half the fight. That was my mistake and it made no difference.
- Cleave, Bash and Kick are negligible unless you stack them all together. Something landed with the blood boiling effect for a little extra, and I will take free damage.
- The damage shield did 2,100 fire damage, which I call ridiculous. I read it as a damage shield, but the captions are not clear on which.
- Hit rates, as I read the garbled captions: about 70% to hit, 11% melee crits and 12% dodges, with an 8% spell figure I cannot place.
Healing and Resists
Very little healing needed.
- 13,000 healed, and it is not much. My health looked stable throughout, and the dips lined up with his damage over time effects ending.
- Two casts of Promised Renewal, and the rest was a plus four heal the captions call Sacred Rebirths. I take that to be Sacred Echo.
- Life drain and the werewolf form did nothing special, the same as against Lady Vox.
- Regeneration is the interesting part. It sat at almost 100 standing still, and after the breastplate upgrade and switching to the steadfast stance it climbed to 173 and then 198. The upgrade is worth roughly 40 more hit points, plus or minus.
- He resisted 3 of 13 Bloodfires, about 23%. I added Bloodfire Exaltation after Lady Vox, though I do not think it will do much against something this fiery.
- I finished with a good amount of mana, so mana was never the limit.
Why This Is Probably the Last Enchanter Build
Where the gear and the plans go next.
- I do not plan to play the Enchanter much after these fights. There may be one or two other builds on my list, but the effort goes elsewhere.
- The focus is Warrior, Necromancer and Shaman. I plan to put my gear upgrades into anything that touches those three, and to level the Necromancer when the new zone arrives in October.
- The Enchanter is not great outside of leveling. I do not like having enchanted pets after playing a Monk, and I would rather have a melee class that can deal massive damage.
- Difficulty is not the problem yet. Around six or seven, if it were ever added, I would expect real damage and survivability trouble, but I finished with mana to spare and I doubt it would have mattered here.
- I am building for hit points and stamina as a Warrior. The breastplate at plus 10 gives 215 stamina, and I see no point in anything other than maximizing health. I think an Ogre could sit near 8,000 with the extra 50 stamina or so, and I could get close by swapping the shield and a few other items.
Nagafen at Difficulty Four
- Tashani first, then Grasping Embrace, then auto attack.
- Charm a pet if you want the damage, and expect to recharm it once.
- Keep the ward up for the whole fight. I let it drop and it cost me parry damage.
- Do not bother with Discordant Mind unless you have ranked it. 449 a cast is not worth the time.
- Stay in offensive stance. Promised Renewal and Sacred Echo cover everything he does.
- Expect to finish with mana left, and about 13,000 healing over the fight.

Hello and welcome to…EverQuest Legend. Today we will be going through Lord Nagafen. Warrior, cleric, enchanter. Let me quickly charm this guy. And we’ll use this enchanted pet because our DPS is, well, lacking, right? Absolutely not enough. Um, let’s take a look here. The same set of spells as on Lady Vox: promise renewal, sacred echo, discordant mind, word of divine, shiftless deeds, allure, Tashan , mesmerization, pacify, augmentation clarity, like any invisibility. I just use it for transportation. Guard of vie and grasping embrace, which actually gives pretty good DPS. I won’t lie. My gear is pretty much the same, except I upgraded the chestplate to plus nine with the tokens I earned, just to complete this item. Today we’ll take it to plus ten with our last token from here. Our mana is full. Let’s get started on this. So, Nagafen is now perfectly suitable for soloing. We’ll just run in here and deal with him. We can ignore the pet charm, like we did with Vox, but…here it is. Under Tashan. Slowed down . Boom. And let’s throw a grasping embrace at him . After that, we can calmly attack with autoattack the rest of the time. He is a warrior, cleric, and necromancer, so he will inflict a lot of DOT effects on us. He’ll probably remove a lot of our buffs, but overall it doesn’t matter at this point. We have to cope. Now, I don’t know if anyone noticed, but I have discordant mind on my panel, and I can use it as an option. But it only deals, what , 449 damage at rank zero. I have n’t improved it yet. Because I don’t plan on playing as an enchanter much. I mean, I could sit here and spam this all day, but honestly, it’s a waste of DPS. Compared to regular close combat. That’s why I don’t do it. Okay, let’s get started, everything’s fine. OK. So, that’s good. This will pass in a few ticks. So we are safe here. I’m doing all this in offensive mode , right? Offensive mode. That’s all you need for anything in this game. And everything should be fine. As for stats, I have 7255 health. Eh, almost 5000 mana. 586 AC and 434 759 or 795, uh uh, whatever it is. Attack. Uh, I’ll renew my promise, because why not? This, this, this, this is a mediocre healing at this point. So I’ll update the eye guard. And then we’ll apply the ” grasping embrace” again. And, and we need to update the ward. Let’s update the ward. That’s it. Uh, ward—this is our third most powerful blow, as we saw in the fight with Lady Vox. So this should be a priority —to bring it back . Uh, if necessary, if you lost it. Now, one thing I changed after the Lady Vox fight is that I added the Bloodfire Exaltation. Uh, I don’t really think it’ll work. Uh, negatively, because he’s fiery. Uh, but it should have been enabled from the start, which would have given us a little more DPS on Vox, but not much. So, you know, results may vary, blah blah blah. Uh, but, you know, we just have to keep the “captivating embrace” on for now. Theoretically, I should be able to improve this, right? I guess, but I just don’t plan on playing the enchanter much after these fights are over . Uh, there might be one or two other builds that I have on my list, but uh, uh, I plan on pumping necromancer when the new zone comes out in October. So, I’m going to focus, I’m going to focus all my efforts on, uh, leveling up any gear set , and it’s going to be warrior, necromancer, shaman. So, like, anything warrior, necromancer, or shaman-related will be improving, unlike everything else right now, because me, I personally don’t feel like enchanter is great outside of leveling. It just doesn’t feel that cool. I don’t like it, I don’t like having enchanted pets after playing as a monk. I feel like it’s better to have, you know, a melee class that can deal massive damage. Oh, the pet just broke free, that’s crazy. So, we will charm him again. And so it is. This is like one of the first times it breaks out when I’m not on a bard during combat. That’s it. He is subdued. We received our stone. Uh, let’s go and kill this guy. Now, while we’re at it , let’s improve our bib. Let’s see how I improve it to 10. So that goes from 28 66 to 70 30. Essentially, that gives us an additional, how many were there? About 40 health points? Plus or minus. I don’t know. What that will give us should get us closer, we know that almost, we should be almost at 100 units of HP regeneration. Now, if I switch to ” steadfastness,” right? I’m doing stupid things here. 173, I’m still going there. 198 HP regeneration, right? This is pretty crazy. I’m not on medication or anything like that . You see how my health is just growing, right? It’s not like it does more damage than most mobs. And I’m sure I could get close to 8k health points if I replaced that shield and some other items, like stamina. I know the ogre could have 8 thousand, probably, or almost 8 thousand right now. Since they have 50 more stamina or so. I think I’m XR now. Good. So, we did it. OK. Let’s hide the overlay, remove this, go back to the list. Well, because. It takes, it takes a second to update. Oh, there he is. Good. There’s a lot going on in the background here. Let’s say this. So, 233 DPS, you know, 15 DPS more than Vox. We did less damage, however: 56 thousand versus 62 thousand and 74 thousand overall. This time we cured 13 thousand . There’s not much healing in this fight . Damage received. So, sorry, I see here, I’m orange, right? So, you know, pretty stable. I’m sure the declines happened when the effects over time (DOTs) ended, right? So we had a 12% dodge chance, an 8% spell chance, and an 11% critical strike chance in melee, which is not bad. 70% chance of hitting, not so bad either. Our biggest damage was from the main hand—74 DPS. Second hand—52 DPS. And then Ward of Divine Perry did less damage because I don’t think it was on the whole time. If we go down here, Ward of Divine Perry, it looks like it was on for probably only half the fight. So, it’s my fault. It didn’t matter. It really doesn’t matter. These fights are so easy for almost any build that it’s just a matter of showing up and pressing “attack.” But you see, it’s pretty good. Now Cleave, Bash, and Kick still deal negligible damage, unless you stack them all together. Looks like we hit something with ” Blood Boiling .” They did a little damage, so it’s not that bad. Free damage. A little pity about “Embracing Embraces” and the like . 2100 fire damage from a protective shield—it’s kind of ridiculous. As for the treatment, we did quite well: two “Promises of Renewal,” and the rest is plus four ” Sacred Rebirths.” So, it’s not that bad. ” Life Draining” again, nothing special about this werewolf illusion. OK. So, it looks like Nagafen has repelled three out of ten…No, three out of thirteen Bloodfires. So, the chance of hitting is about 23%. Well, that’s another thing. Overall, not bad. I mean, I’ve killed him a million times already, so I did n’t think I’d have any problems. Of course, I would probably start to feel the difficulty somewhere around the sixth or seventh difficulty if it were added. But that’s when, in my opinion, this class would start to have serious damage and survivability issues. But we finished the fight with a good amount of mana, so it probably wouldn’t have mattered much . Well, that’s all . It was a battle with Lord Nagafen on the fourth difficulty solo for a warrior, enchanter, and cleric. Not so bad. You know, you shouldn’t have any problems getting through this place. My gear is mostly the same as in the Lady Vox video, except for the bib, which I can’t even open. We upgraded it to +10, which gives us 215 stamina. You know, right now I’m focusing on endurance equipment. I don’t see any point in doing anything other than maximizing health points when playing as a warrior. So, everyone has their own experience, but thank you for watching and have a great day.

Master Yael - WAR / ENC / CLR - d4 solo
Master Yael at difficulty four with Warrior, Enchanter and Cleric, a fight I called easy before parsing it at 238 DPS. The level 43 pet does about 19,000 of it, the Beastlord AI slows and plagues me the whole way, and the build needed two Sacred Echoes and never touched Promised Renewal.
Lady Vox - WAR / ENC / CLR - d4 - solo
Lady Vox at difficulty four with Warrior, Enchanter and Cleric, a build I called boring right before parsing it at 217 DPS. A charmed priest does 18,000 of the 78,000, the build cannot realistically die, and I still think the Enchanter is a leveling class more than a boss class.
Master Yael - WAR / BRD / SHM - d4 solo
Master Yael at difficulty four on Warrior, Bard and Shaman, run entirely in offensive and Empower. Envenomed Bolt alone is 36% of the damage, and the bard songs quietly hand over 6,000 more for no mana and no attention.
