How I Play My Level 85 Warrior

How I play my level 85 EverQuest Warrior, the tank and main character of my Hobs and Friends box. Covers the one-button multibind, pulling and AoE aggro, the hatred-focused burns, the defensive disciplines, weapon stances, AA taunts, and gear at 85.

September 23, 2025

The level 85 Warrior is the tank and the main character of my Hobs and Friends box. He plays off one spam button (everything multi-bound to 4 and 5), and everything else is situational clicking: the disciplines, burns, and taunts get fired by hand as the fight demands. First and foremost he is a tank, and damage is a distant second.

One-button multibind Tank first Hatred generation Situational clicking
Battle Leap15,000 damage + stun (20s)
Warlord's Tenacity12,000 heal, +11,000 max HP
Fully buffed AC~2,235 (shield + field armor)

Session Overview

Tank first, everything else second.

  • Role: the tank, and the main character of the box. Survival comes before damage every time.
  • Playstyle: one spam button (4 and 5 multibind) fires the everyday chain, and everything else is clicked by hand so I can pick the right tool for the moment.
  • Why click instead of bind the disciplines: as the tank I want to choose which defensive or taunt I use, not fire them all blind on a trigger.
  • Mercenary: a healer or a melee DPS merc depending on the content. I run mercs on Mercy rather than auto-assist so they stop grabbing the wrong pull while I am moving.

The Multibind (Spam Button)

Everything bound to 4 and 5.

  • Assist macro: turns attack on and sends the pet, swarm, and mercenary in.
  • Taunt: the level-one taunt on cooldown. It puts me at the top of the hate list when it lands, and it picks up a bonus at higher levels.
  • Maelstrom Blade: an AoE hit on up to 30 targets. Knuckle Crush is the alternative (reduces the target's melee damage by 5% for five attacks) if you would rather not swing AoE.
  • Knee Strike: a kick with a base 100 damage that lowers the target's avoidance for 18 seconds, 30-second reuse.
  • Jeer: the provoke line (timer 9). Incites 1,959 hatred and leaves a recourse that absorbs 50% of melee damage, fading after two hits for 895 total.
  • Battle Leap: increases base melee damage passively now, so I no longer have to keep it up, but I still leap on cooldown for 15,000 damage plus a stun on everything nearby every 20 seconds.
  • Shield Topple: it turns out this works even without a shield equipped, so it went straight into the multibind for a free extra slam.

Key insight: pushing 4 fires this whole chain and, at the same time, triggers the cleric's heals and the bard's songs. One button plays three characters.

Pulling and AoE Aggro

Grabbing the pack and holding it.

  • Bazu Bluster: a pull taunt with a 30-second duration. I use it to pull because I do not have a bow yet.
  • Rampage: one primary swing on every creature in a 40-foot radius, 3-minute reuse. Sits on numpad 2 for my thumb.
  • Area Taunt: an AoE taunt over the same 40 feet, +6,000 hatred over the most hated target, 6-minute reuse (drops to 5 minutes at 90). I save it rather than spam it.
  • Call of Challenge: the snare, though it plays more like a root since the mob turns and fights in place.
  • Howl of the Warlord: the escape. Goes invisible and drops aggro. Every character has its evade on the minus key so I can bail the whole group at once.

Burn 1: The Hatred Stack

Generate hatred, hatred, hatred.

  • Spire of the Warlord: got at 85 with nine ranks at once. Gives a 100% chance to trigger Warlord's Weakening on attackers (reduces their accuracy and strength by 35 and attack power by 20), plus +47 minimum damage, +5% avoidance and parry, and +15 AC.
  • Warlord's Fury: +5,000 hatred instantly, +80% hatred from all actions for 18 seconds, then +25% for another 30 seconds. Reusable every minute and a half.
  • Rage of Rallos Zek: a 100% weapon proc chance for 12 seconds, so every anger proc lands during the window.
  • Projection of Fury: summons a level 85 doppelganger that generates more hatred.

Key insight: the theme of this button is pure hatred generation. Pair it with Final Stand or Bracing Defense, since the defensive disciplines share timers and cannot both run at once.

Burn 2 and Burn 3

Sustain now, glyph later.

Burn 2

  • Breastplate clicky: Furious Provocation makes enemies easier to taunt. The Underfoot breastplate also adds a tick to Fortitude.
  • Fortitude or Furious: a timer 3 pick, evade every attack or riposte every attack, 12-second duration on a 40-minute reuse.
  • Blood Drinker's Coating: a 2% lifetap poison, parked here since I cannot click it until 100.
  • Signet of Gannar: a level 100 clicky (also parked) that drops a Circle of Life aura boosting group healing.

Burn 3 (Glyph)

  • Intensity of the Resolute: +50% and +55% to my heal-and-spell and base melee damage for a minute, 4-hour reuse. It stands in for a glyph (Glyph of Ultimate Power or Dragon Scales) until I have the AAs to slot one.

Defensive Disciplines

Two hotbars of situational tanking tools.

  • Final Stand: the top defensive, and it does not upgrade again. 10-minute reuse, 3-minute duration, no snare or damage penalty anymore. It feels like doubling my health bar.
  • Bracing Defense line: a big armor-class boost, roughly 2,083 up to 2,235 AC.
  • Shocking Defense: a level 70 discipline that stuns attackers, 15-minute reuse, 1-minute duration.
  • Furious / Fortitude: riposte or evade every attack, a timer 3 pick.
  • Aggressive Discipline: a timer 4 that raises damage output at the cost of taking more damage, 1-minute duration, 30-minute reuse.
  • Rage: +15% base melee damage and a higher minimum hit, but it reduces instant heal effectiveness by 25% (fine with a cleric overhealing me).
  • Armor of Timeworn Runes: procs runes that block damage. I am still on the fence about it.
  • Brutal Onslaught: from 74. Big crit chance and damage, turning crits into crippling blows for 30 seconds.
  • Mark of the Mage Hunter: absorbs 25% of incoming spell damage, up to 1,500 per hit and 7,500 total, for 3 minutes.

Key insight: none of these live in the burn buttons on purpose, so I can pick the right one for the situation instead of firing a defensive and an offensive at the same time.

Weapon Stances and Shield

One-handed by default.

  • Weapon Stances (AA at 85): the dual-wield stance gives more one-handed damage, more parry, +20% weapon proc trigger, and absorbs 6% of melee damage, at the cost of some dodge.
  • Shield stance: +10% block, +20% weapon crit, and absorbs 12% of melee damage.
  • Why one-handed: the Warrior barely loses anything going one-handed, unlike the knights with a two-hander. I keep a shield for the hardest fights and mission content.

AA Aggro and Utility

Clicked as needed.

  • Ageless Enmity: a single-target taunt, 6-minute reuse.
  • Blast of Anger: +5,000 hatred, 2:10 reuse.
  • Gut Punch: +750 hatred and -50% accuracy on the target, roughly 43-second reuse.
  • Punch Through: a discipline to ignore the target's defenses for 18 seconds, 10-minute reuse. I am evaluating it for the multibind.
  • Warlord's Tenacity: a 12,000 heal plus 11,000 max HP for a minute, 30-minute reuse.
  • Warlord's Bravery: -5% incoming melee for 15 hits. Warlord's Resurgence: +300 health regen.
  • Resplendent Glory: +1 to 9% incoming heal effectiveness for a minute, 15-minute reuse.
  • War Cry: makes the group immune to fear. Fourth Wind: endurance regen. Champion's Aura: group AC and weapon-trigger chance.
  • Commanding Voice and Field Armor: short group buffs (dodge and AC) on the numpad-7 button.

Gear and AAs at 85

Anger weapons and defense first.

Gear

  • Weapons: two anger and aggro weapons for maximum hatred (Force of Anger, Strike of Disease). The Sword of Braille's Eye is an evolving Underfoot weapon bought with Marks of Valor that carries Worn Echo of Anger.
  • Mask: one with Echoing Anger for hate generation. The breastplate matters for its clicky.
  • Armor: roughly House of Thule tier 1 plus Elegant Defiant, with the Underfoot breastplate. I also bought a shield for defensive fights.

AAs

  • On Live: auto-granted all the way to 115, so there are no choices to make yet.
  • If you are spending manually: go 100% defensive first (combat, agility, stability, Armor of Wisdom, then the rest), and only then offensive. You are a tank first.

The 85 Warrior Loop

  1. Buff up: mount, Champion's Aura, Field Armor, Commanding Voice, and two anger weapons equipped.
  2. Pull: Bazu Bluster (or run in), then Rampage and Area Taunt to grab the pack.
  3. Hold aggro: spam 4 and 5 for the taunt-and-Jeer chain, and Warlord's Fury when you need a hatred spike.
  4. Stay alive: Final Stand for three or four mobs, or Bracing Defense for a quick AC wall.
  5. Burn: Burn 1 (Spire, Warlord's Fury, Rage of Rallos Zek, Projection of Fury), then Burn 2 (breastplate, Fortitude or Furious).
  6. Emergency: Warlord's Tenacity for a health cushion, or Howl of the Warlord to bail out.

Hello and welcome to how I play my level 85 warrior. So today we’re going to talk about uh how I play this guy and uh all the abilities. As you can see here, it’s quite a busy interface of uh stuff. So we’re going to talk about uh cooldowns uh disciplines mostly because there’s no spells. Uh we’ll talk a little bit about about gear and some important items to pick up along your way and uh stuff. So this should be viable for a heroic 85 character uh as and a character that is leveling. So uh first and foremost what is a warrior? A warrior is a tank uh and to some extent they are a DPS class. Uh but a tank and first and foremost so that is your number one goal. And I like to play my character a very specific way. So, first we’re going to talk about what I do on pretty much my spam button, my cool down, right? All my characters, they all have everything multi-bound to the same button. If we go here to hot bar six, like see everything on four and everything on five. So, all these buttons down here that say four, whenever I push four, they all get activated at the exact same time. That’s just how multi-binding works in the EverQuest client. And uh with that, it’s very beneficial. So, uh, kind of there I have a, uh, a basic assist button, which, uh, turns my attack on, right? Uh, if I have a pet, it attacks. If I have a swarm, it attacks. If I have a mercenary, it will assist. Uh, I stopped running with auto assist on my mercenary recently because they would I would pull a mob from like, let’s say, over let’s say that that worm dragon over there, right? Let’s say I pull him and he’s like right about here where this other dragon is and the mercenaries just decide to get him over there and it causes lots of issues. So turning on Mercy and making it so that I have to tell the mercenary what to do uh makes it a little bit better and a little bit easier to get the mercenaries in the general location that we’re fighting in versus, you know, somewhere else. So it works. Uh you can also mark yourself as polar and it helps sometimes but it doesn’t help in the way that I play some in some ways because while I may be pulling I am also probably crawling the dungeon crawling the zone. So being a puller anchors the mercenary at a certain spot for some reason. Uh and it doesn’t really update when you move and it’s it’s not ideal for the way I’m I’m doing a lot of stuff. So basically that I have uh that on both buttons there. It’s the exact same macro. It’s just on four and five. So it’ll attack turn attack on all that stuff, right? So when I push four, it’s going through this macro, right? And then it’s going to go through all the other things that are on this button. So, I also have a taunt, which is there’s no description for this, but this is the level one taunt that uh you taunt and you get plus one to whatever on the hatred list, right? So, like here’s the, you know, hatred list on this guy, right? It’s he’s a combat dummy. I taunt him. I am at number one now if he succeeds and I go over everybody else. So I do it on cooldown because we have a lot of other taunting abilities and this one eventually gets another bonus to it during uh its usage. So it’s nice there. Then I have maelstrom blade. Now uh you have two choices here. You have maelstrom blade which is an AoE hits 30 targets and it’s kind of nice. They like it. It’s a nice little attack. You can also go with knuckle crush as an alternative. executes a crushing blow to an opponent, reducing their melee damage by 5% for the next five attacks. Now, either one of these is viable. Uh I prefer the AoE because that’s hitting all the targets around me, but uh you may not want that in the way you play. Now, let’s go ahead and put it uh down here so we can like kind of see it later. I’ll put it right right above it. And you know, it’s, you know, you can go either way. Uh I know in the I think last video in the cooling chamber. Uh having this would have been beneficial. We didn’t get this until 85. So it’s very situational where you don’t want to do AoE stuff, but uh at the same time, I have rampage area taunt and I think battle leap’s doing some damage too when I jump. So there’s there’s a little bit of uh there’s a little bit of you know like I I probably should just keep the maelstrom blade kind of thing. Then we have knee strike uh which strikes your target with a kick skill attack with a base damage of 100 reducing their avoidance for 18 seconds. A nice little debuff every 30 seconds you can do that. And then we have Jir. Uh Jir is actually I believe the provoke line. If we go down here to provoke. Yeah, it’s nine. Timer nine. So, Jir is on timer 9 and that is our kind of uh you know provoke now. So, this uh this you know in incites 1959 hatred and gives a recourse which will then absorb 50% of melee damage. Fades after two uh hits total of 895 damage. So, it takes a little bit of the damage off the top there. It’s very nice. Uh, and then we have battle leap, which is uh battle leap passively increases our base melee damage, right? So, I don’t have to activate it anymore to get the damage. Uh, but when I do activate that, I get 15,000 and I stun everything around me. So, I I pretty much battle Lee on cool down. It looks kind of cool. Um, let me just close this. So, we’re like we’re like over here. We can kind of battle leap into melee range. So, it’s kind of nice. I like to just do it on cool down, but it does increase our damage passively. We don’t have to do it click it anymore, but it does 15,000 damage every 20 seconds. So, I like to do it. And it’s got a little stun, so maybe it, you know, helps out a little bit there. Uh, see here. Now, I use Bazoo Bluster uh as my pull ability. It’s just a a taunt uh with the duration, right? If we like go over here, you can see it puts this little buff on on him for 30 seconds. I use that to pull just because I don’t have a bow at the moment, but it works pretty good. Uh and all and all things considered, so I use that. Uh then on my numpad 2, so I’m I have an MMO mouse. It’s got like 12 buttons on it. So, like I’m hitting, you know, numpad one for the pull on my thumb and then numpad two on my thumb gives me rampage, which uh will do a primary attack. So, one one slash of my sword on all the creatures in a 40 foot radius. Uh so, this is pretty nice, right? If we come over here to these guys, right, they’re, you know, they’re pretty pretty big. If I rampage them, you can see everything got hit all the way over to there. So definitely uh kind of nice. And if we look at like other melee or where is it smashing here? You see we we hit pretty good. We c we can crit. I believe we can proc Yeah, we procked our disease proc. We procked our I can’t tell if we procked our uh uh it doesn’t look like we pro procked force. Well, that was the that was the last fight. So, we didn’t proc our aggro stuff, but it just depends, right? So, very nice there. Uh, next up, we have area taunt, which is an AoE taunt. Uh, 40 foot radius, same radius as the other one. Gives me 6,000 points of aggro, higher than the previous most hated person. So, I save this ability for kind of when I need it versus, you know, using it on cooldown. It does have a 6-minute reuse. Uh, it does go down to 5 minutes at level 90, but it’s still pretty long. And then rampage is a 3minut cool down. And I don’t know if it goes down any further as we level this, but uh, it’s a 3minut cool down. So, these are longer cooldowns. So, you can’t just spam them and maintain full aggro, right? So, it’s, you know, you got to be a little more strategic about it. So, that none of that’s in my multi-bind. It’s all on activated there. Uh, let’s see here. Uh, we have a hide corpse macro, which hides all the corpses, auto inventories, forages, and then auto inventories again. So, if anything’s on my cursor, it just gets rid of it. I have Call of Challenge. Uh, which is our snare. Uh, if you want to call it that, it calls it that right there. Call of challenge snare, but it acts more like a root in all honesty. uh if you you know call a challenge something it will turn and still fight you. Uh it doesn’t snare like snare will you know the mom will like slowly stop and then it’ll just stop and you know face it back to you right. Uh so it looks works a little different but it it’s still a great ability. Uh then we have howl of the warlord. This is our escape. This will turn us invisible and drop aggro of pretty much everything on us. Uh it’s kind of nice. I have all my characters have their their evade if you will on the uh equal or the minus sign so I can hit them all at the same time if something goes bad. But uh in most actuality I just take the death and start over. But uh on the numpad 7, which is my short duration buff button for all my characters, I have commanding voice uh which will give everybody more dodge ability. So it’s kind of nice. It only lasts for like a minute, so it’s not that not that long. Uh, another one I’m I’m probably going to put into that macro right here is field armor. Uh, which is uh another it’s an AC buff for the group. There you can see there it lasts for, if I can find it, 2 minutes and 3 seconds. So, it’s a little bit longer duration, but uh it’s kind of the same effect, right? It gives everybody armor. I mean, we’re at like 20 83 armor right now and stuff. So, uh, it just depends. Then I have my mount for my mount buff. And let’s see. That’s that row. That’s that row. Oh, we didn’t talk about burns. Let’s talk about burns real quick. So, uh, I’m still working on these. These are all work in progress burn, but these are effectively what I could find that works pretty good at 85. Uh, so we have Spire of the Warlord, Warlord’s Fury, Rage of Ralis, and Projection of Fury in our first button here. So, if we take a look at this, Spire of the Warlord, uh, we got this at 85, and we got nine ranks of it at the same time. So, um, it gives us the passive ability, increases our maximum health, blah blah blah. Right? That’s not the important part. Right? Here was the important part. gives us a chance with 100% bonus to trigger warlords weakening uh on attackers. So, click here. Reduces accuracy and strength by uh 35 points and attack power by 20 points. So, right off the bat, every time we hit something, it debuffs the the target. So, that’s good. Very good. Right. Uh, then it increases our minimum damage by 47 points, our melee avoidance by 5%, our chance to parry by 5%. And our armor class by 15 points. So, this is just uh very nice, a nice little buff for us, you know, makes us a little uh a little bit tankier, a little bit more uh durable. So, it’s nice. Then we have Warlord’s Fury, which this is a short duration buff, but it looked like it would be a nice in in the burn, right? Uh, so Warlords Fury increases our hatred on the target by 5,000 points immediately. Increases the hatred you generate by all actions by 80% for 18 seconds and then increases the amount of hatred after that by 25% for another 30 seconds. This can be done every 1 minute and 30 seconds. So, you don’t have a really high down time on this. I have it over here for clicking as I want, but it is uh definitely something I would want to click during a burn. So, I’m I’m immediately getting that 5,000 hatred. I’m getting 80% more hatred when I start doing all my actions, right? So, I’m going to be getting way more hatred generated because right after that, I’m doing rage of the rattle of Zack, which gives me 100% chance to create uh to proc my weapon during that for 12 seconds, right? So, this we’re stacking these, right? Uh and then on my weapons, I have a coolmentation on here, but we can take a look at the two weapons I have right now. If we uh actually look at all of the stuff on here. All right. So, first weapon right here, Force of Anger. So, it does 290 damage, angers them. Strike of disease, 280 damage. Uh no extra anger. Sword of Brail Braille’s Eye 165 uh stun, right? And then a 20 or echo of anger is a warrant, so it’s not a proc. So this this proc hero will click off and this one will go. I do not think this one the disease one works during the uh uh warlord. So let’s check it out real quick just to make sure I’m not wrong. So we click right here. Go to spell damage. We’re just going to turn on auto attack and rage of risk. So we got stunning blow disease. We’re We’re seeing diseases in there. Yeah, look at that. Look at all that craziness. Every single one of those procs has a chance to go off. So, you you take all that, right? You have the 100% chance to proc the 80% extra uh hatred generation from Warlord’s Fury, combining that together to generate us a significant amount of hatred on the target. So, it’s kind of kind of feels good in a burn, right? Uh it’s not doing a lot of damage. I’m now this is this I’m not considering this for DPS right now. This is just what I’m going to be doing during a burn, right? Um we have other options. We might be doing uh we might be in final stand, so we can’t use any of our other disciplines, right? Uh we’ll talk about that here in a second. All right. So, um where was I? Burn one now. Right after Rallos sec, we do projection of fury, which will uh summon a level 85 doppelganger that generates more hatred. There’s a theme here in this first button, uh, and it’s generate hatred, generate hatred, generate hatred, and whatnot. Now, depending on the situation, uh, we have a lot of different disciplines, right? There’s a lot of offensive ones, there’s a lot of defensive ones. Depending on the situation that we’re in, uh we would want to either probably run final stand or bracing defense. Either one of those would uh be the optimal uh optimal uh discipline to run for that. These are both defensive. Final stand being a 3minut, you know, pretty much lowers all all the damage we take. Whereas bracing defense just increases our armor class uh by a little bit and it lasts for 1 minute. And if I click it, it is shown up here. So this would counteract any of the other stuff that we would be trying to want to do, right? So we wouldn’t be able to do furious or shocking defense or anything else at the same time as bracing defense. So that’s kind of one of the limitations of a warrior versus a shadow rider paladin is they can have a discipline going plus they can still cast spells but at the same time we don’t need spells. We don’t need spells. All right. So that’s uh that’s my burn one. Next up is burn two. So burn two. Uh first thing it does is click the breastplate. Uh the breastplate right here. Uh if we do the clicky furious procation uh find yourself easier to taunt uh enemies, right? Provoke them, right? Every time I swing, I get more hatred, right? Definitely nice. You’ll also notice that the uh the uh the breastplate uh increases the duration of fortitude by one tick. So, if we look here, I don’t think I have fortitude over there, actually. So, let me find it. Fortitude is one of the original uh disciplines we got way back when. Uh right here at 59. Allows us to evade attacks. It counter It’s It’s on the same timer as uh Furious. And I I kind of picked Furious as what I wanted, but we can put it back here. So, this one will allow us to evade attacks, and this one allows us to repost attacks. You can pick which one you want. They have the same uh same timers, I believe. So, that one’s 12 seconds, 40 minutes. 12 seconds, 40 minutes, right? Whatever one you want, that’s the one you’re going to use. Uh, next up, I have Blood Drinker’s Coating, which I can’t actually activate until level 100, but it’s going to be if that’s where it’s going to go, so I already put it there. Uh, and this will create coat our weapons in a lifetime poison, causing 2% of the melee damage we inflict to heal us. So, I’m hitting for, you know, 2,000. I’m going to get 2% of that back as health. Uh, which is fantastic if you ask me. Uh, and then I’m also going to activate my signate of Ganar, which is a level 100 clickie just like the bloodrinkers, but it’s uh, there for now. Now, this item is weird. I found it in one of my bags on my Shadow Knight, I believe, when I was leveling them up. I don’t remember where I got this. Uh, I don’t know anything about it, but this has a clicky of circle of life. It increases your companions healing effects as long as they stay within the aura. So, this gives me another aura that lasts for a little bit of time that heals that increases the healing of everybody else. Now, this is kind of cool because one, it’s just like the Paladin aura, and it kind of gives me this. It doesn’t last very long. It’s only like I think it’s like it’s a 30-minute reuse, but I think it only lasts for like 10 minutes, I think. Um, but it is uh definitely something I’m going to have in my arsenal uh when I’m clicking, right? When I’m clicking all my crap, I’m going to try to get as much out of that. And the cool thing about it is it’s going to benefit my cleric. It’s going to benefit my cleric mercenary. It’s going to benefit my life taps. It’s going to benefit anything like that. It’s going to benefit probably the bard song, whatever, whatever that’s doing healing wise, right? It’s very nice. So that’s that. And then that is I believe that is everything in burn two for now. There’s more abilities we get later on. I just don’t have access to them yet. And then the burn three which is now name renamed glyph for this character. Uh this does intensity the resolute because we do not have the AAS for uh you know either glyph of ultimate power or dragon scales whichever one I decide I need at the moment but one of those glyphs would be activated during that which would increase either our tankiness to god level or our damage to demigod level. So those are the options there what I would put in that if I had the AAS to do that. But instead I have intensity of resolute which increases our chance to healing and our damage spells and our base damage for our melee attacks by 50 and 55% respectively for 1 minute. Uh it’s a 4hour reuse. It does not stack with the glyphs. So you got to kind of think of it that way but it’s it’s a nice in lie of So, it’s, you know, it’s there if I need it. And I think I’ve used it a few times in the series to get a little extra damage out. Now, that is all of those abilities. We’re going to talk about these ones here in just a second. Uh, there is another ability that I did not mention. Uh, this is a shield ability, and I don’t think I can use it without a shield on. I haven’t tried yet. I’m going to do it live right now. Really? Did that actually do something without a shield? The Oh my god. You slash him. All right, I guess. What? Hold on. Oh, we we got to try that again. Shield topple. It just gives me a slash. You slam your shield into the opponent, inflicting damage, knocking them out. All right. Well, I guess the shield topple is going in the multivine. I did not realize that was a thing, but uh there we go. Get a bonus. You get a bonus I didn’t even know about at the time. I was going to go on a whole tangent about using a shield. Uh speaking of using a shield, I did purchase a shield. Oh, now we have a shield uh for doing shield related things that I thought we could do. But uh you can see here like we look we go back to dual wield. We’re 2235 AC 2415 AC. Definitely popping the shield, you know, popping the field armor dodge. You know, we are we are in that that range of, you know, tankiness that we probably need to do the content that we’re going to be doing. So, definitely shielding up is probably going to be an option. Now, if we take a look at one of these AAS here. So, there’s weapon stances. U I believe this is what we got at 85. And this gives us some different effects for depending on what kind of weapon we’re using in our hands. So, I’m currently dual wielding. So, I increase my damage I deal with one-handed weapons. Increase the chance to parry incoming attacks. Increase my chance for the weapon’s magical effect to trigger by 20%. Protects against 6% of incoming melee damage. Does not stack with the defensive abilities, though. And it reduces my chance to dodge. Right. So, that’s a nice trade-off, right? Like when we run the knights, you know, you’re using a two-hander, you reduce your chance to dodge and parry incoming attacks and lowers your armor class. It’s kind of like, oh jeez, I’m I’m taking a big hit there. But the warrior does not take that big a hit when he’s using one-handed weapons. In fact, it’s almost beneficial for the warrior to use one-handed weapons and except for the hardest content because when we put a shield on, we get uh what is this? The chance to block by 10%. We increase our weapons chance to crit by 20%. And we protect against 12% of incoming melee damage. And it doesn’t stack with other things, right? So depending on what we want, we can either, you know, go a little bit heavier and get a little bit extra damage out of that. Uh, or we can go pure defensive and turtle up and reduce a lot more damage. So, it’s pretty versatile. I don’t think warrior and a two-handed would ever correspond in my in my book, but maybe, you know, you’re in a group and you’re grouping with another warrior and that warrior is going to tank. So, I’m going to take the two-handed and, you know, probably my two-hander is not going to have like aggro procs on it, right? Cuz my my one-handers, they’re all pretty much going to be aggro procs weapons from this point on, right? I’m going to I want to have as much aggro as I can at any time. So, switching to a two-hander if I’m grouped with, you know, another tank would be probably the benefit that I would see from that. or if I’m tanking, I’m going to probably want a shield. In uh you know, like say mission content, you know, normal everyday experience content, I probably don’t need the shield, but maybe in mission content, I might want the shield. So, there’s some options there with that. All right, so now we we got we got what two two hot bars here of pretty much every discipline uh that we can click and some extra AA abilities. Uh, so final stand. Final stand is the current discipline and as far as I know, this does not get upgraded again, right? Final stand is the final discipline for defensive. And it is great. It’s 10 uh 10-minute reuse, 3m minute duration. Doesn’t snare us anymore. Doesn’t lower our damage. Uh, but it makes us uh makes us tanky. And it is great, right? like I pop this and I feel like I am in I have twice the hit bar hit point bar, right? It is crazy. So, it’s definitely good. Alternative to that, we get uh a progressive line of spells called uh the bracing defense line, which just increases our armor class by a a good deal. Here, if we uh uh how do I stop that? I forget. There we go. Just clicking it. All right. So, we’re at 20 and then we go up to 2235. That’s how much AC that’s adding. It’s insane. Absolutely insane. Uh so that we have that and that, right? Those are two defensive abilities. Then we get shocking defense. This is from level 70 and I didn’t see an upgrade to it. Maybe like I I find upgrades midway. Now, this one is a 15-minute uh dur uh reuse, but it’s a 1 minute duration, and it has an attempt to stun when you’re being attacked. Now, I found this to be kind of interesting uh in certain cases where I’m getting attacked by multiple opponents, right? And it kind of just like stuns them. And uh it seems to work on current level stuff, but it’s hard to tell. Uh it’s hard to tell without seeing uh like like staring at the spells and stuff like that, but it’s in it’s there. It’s available. Uh and it’s a thing. Uh next up, we have an a um a interesting it’s an interesting way to uh defend yourself. Uh so this one allows you to repost every attack, but it only lasts 12 seconds and it’s a 40minute reuse. So every single melee attack that comes at me, I’m going to repost. So, I’m going to just attack back, right? It’s not going to do any damage. Uh, it could save your life in certain situations. Uh, and do that. It help you kill stuff a little faster, maybe if it’s hitting pretty quick. So, it’s it’s an option you have. Uh, depends on what option you want to do. Uh, next up, we have fortitude. Now, fortitude shares the timer. It’s a timer three with furious. So, you have to pick between these two. Uh, this one will, you know, help you evade attacks. So, it’s also focused here by the breastplate. Uh, this is the underfoot breastplate. So, it’s it helps focus that. And so, you know, you have a choice there, you know, between uh those two disciplines. And you pick the one you want. This will increase it by one tick, which is 6 seconds. So, that’s pretty nice. And then we have aggressive discipline, which is a timer 4. This is one of our uh timer 4 abilities. There’s multiple timer fours, uh, but I felt like this one was probably the one I wanted to use. It’s a 1 minute duration, 30 minute reuse, and it increases my, uh, aggressive combat stat, increases your damage output, but take causes you to take more damage. Now, a lot of these are like that. Like there’s another one we’re going to show here in a second that, you know, I’m going to do more damage, but I’m going to take more damage. Now, the benefit of being a warrior is I can take that damage and then most of the time like I don’t even notice it. Uh it is phenomenal how well a warrior can tank compared to anything else in the game. Uh, I I I’m seeing this character do things at his level that I couldn’t do with any of my other characters, even ones that I’ve tweaked to the tea with the best stuff I could possibly get my hands on. This guy is just like whatever. Thanks, guys. I will try again. You know, he’s just like he’s got that that that that power. and uh being able to take do a little bit more damage if I need to, but take a little bit more. I feel like I can handle it right in most cases. There’s some content like underfoot that is difficult and um we’re able to tank it now, but when we started underfoot at 80, five levels under under uh it was difficult and I don’t think I would have been able to do that with a shadow knight or a paladin. Uh, next up we have Vahit Rage, which is increases our base melee damage by 15%. Uh, raises our minimum base damage from our melee hits to be 30, but reduces the effectness of incoming instant duration heals. So, this one makes us get healed less uh versus take more damage, which actually is kind of okay if you think about it really. Uh we’re for 36 seconds we’re taking 15, you know, we’re doing 15% more damage and we have a lower, you know, higher minimum hit. So that’s nice. But our instant duration healing is down, you know, to 20, you know, by 25%. So, you know, instead of getting healed for 100, we’re getting healed for 75, which isn’t too bad if you think about it, cuz I’m running a cleric. And that cleric is overhealing me so much. And so, that’s, you know, that 75% becomes kind of like a, you know, oh, all right. Oh, it’s fine. So, it it all plays together uh really well. So, you just got to think about it like that. Next up, we have uh armor of timeworn runes, which gives us uh a chance of our uh physical attacks to trigger uh these runes, which prevent us from taking damage. So, this is a 1 minute duration, 15 minute reuse. I’ve been trying this out for a few levels. Uh I tried out the 76 one and the one before, and I’m I’m not 100% sold on it. Like, this would be something I like I can’t final stand. I can’t do this. I can’t do that. I’m going to do this right until maybe I I figure out what I’m doing wrong or something to get it to, you know, feel like it’s doing a little bit better. But it’s definitely it’s definitely something. It’s just, you know, it’s another defensive, right? And then let’s see. We have brutal onset onslaught. This one’s from 74, and I don’t believe I saw an upgrade to it. Yeah, I don’t see one yet. Uh, so this increases our melee attacks to deal critical by 270%. Grants a 140% chance to increase the damage of our critical melee attacks, causing all our critical melee attacks to be crippling blows. I mean, this this this alone is brutal. It’s brutal in this fact that it’s going to increase our damage so much. And it’s a 30-se secondond duration. definitely something you want to use as much as you can, but uh I don’t have any of these offensive or defensive abilities in my burns because I want to be able to choose what I need to do when I need to do it versus, you know, it’s all in one button. Oh crap, now I have to click off defensive or click off an offensive, right? So I I I have it like that for a very specific reason. Next up, we have Mark of the Mage Hunter, which uh when activated absorbs 25% of incoming spell damage up to 1500 damage per hit for 7,500 damage total for 3 minutes. So, if you’re fighting something that something like say you’re in the library in um House of Thu a ton by stuff and it’s actually hurting, you pop this, boom, you’re not taking damage for a little bit. You got little little saving grace there, right? Very nice. All right, so that’s that’s the disciplines. Now, down here, we have a bunch of AAS. So, we’re going to talk about these uh warlords tenacity. This uh is this is kind of like the stance ability from the uh the knights. They get a stance that gives them more hit points temporarily. So, this gives us a 12,000 point heal. Uh, 12,000 point heal and increases our maximum health by 11,000. You know, we pop that. It’s a 30-minute reuse, but now we have 99,000 hit points for for a little while. Now, it doesn’t last forever. It only lasts for 1 minute. So, it’s it’s, you know, something I would probably use it during a burn, but I’m not going to put it in my burnt, right? It’s, you know, one of those things you got, oh, maybe. But now we have Warlords Fury. Now, this one’s a 1 minute and 30 second reuse, and we already talked about it, but it increases our hatred significantly during that time. Uh, and then we have Warlord’s Bravery, which uh reduces incoming melee damage by 5% for 15 hits. It’s a nice little thing. It’s a It’s a 1 hour reuse at the moment. And I don’t know how much time how much that will go down, but it goes up in time there, but I would hope it goes down to like something practical, but it is another defensive ability. So, we have that there. And then we have Warlord’s Resurgence, which when activated increases our health regeneration by 300 points, uh, which is kind of nice. You know, you throw that on there, you’re going to get, you know, an extra 300 health every tick. So 10-minute reuse, not too bad. Then we have Respplendant Glory, which increases the effectiveness of incoming heals by 1 to 9% for 1 minute. So this is a 15-minute duration. So this just, you know, I want to get more healing. Uh, you know, I’m getting I’m getting hammered by something. Boom. I pop this. Now the heals are doing a little bit more damage uh on me. So that’s going to work out really well. And then we have Ageless Emnity. This is our uh one of our taunts. This is six-minute reuse. Hopefully, it goes down in time a little bit, but it gives us a lot of hatred. It’s a single target, right? Then we have a blast of anger. The same thing. Uh it’s a 2 minute and 10 second reuse. 5,000 points of hatred for me. Looks like it goes down like 10 seconds in the next rank. So hopefully that goes down into like a better time. Now, I know on my night builds, I have um I have these in the multivine cuz they have like three or four like almost instant recast aggro abilities, right? Like it’s it’s insane how much aggro a knight can generate and stuff like that. So, it’s uh one of those things. Then, we have uh Gut Punch, which is another single target aggro generation. And this one increases their targets hatred by 750 points and then reduces their accuracy by 50%. Uh, and this is a 43 second reuse and it goes down by 2 seconds I think every rank. Theoretically it goes pretty quick but uh I don’t know exactly there. Uh, then we have punch through which is a discipline. Uh, this just allows you to punch through the fences. Now, this is 18 second duration, 10-minute reuse. I have it here is just a uh extra click, but um I’m evaluating it to put it into the multivine. I feel like the upkeep might be a little big on that. I’m not 100% sure yet if we like punch it right through. So, it’s it’s activates it. It gives me a discipline up here. And then I’m going to do a slightly more damage when I’m meleeing because I’m going to go through the defenses for 18 seconds, right? So, your choice on that, but I’m going to keep it up there. Uh, let’s see. Then we have Lionhearted Rally Call, which uh terrifies or impedes enemies. I have never used this one yet. I feel like it fears them in place. Oh, it’s a targetable. There you go. So, it will it will fear them. I don’t know if it’ll fear them in place, though. If it fears them and they run, it’s terrible. If it fears them in place, uh then it’s fantastic. Uh then we have field armor, which is just a group armor buff to uh give everybody a little bit more armor. So, it’s pretty nice. You want to make sure you have that used as much as you can. I should probably put it on my short-term duration buff here. Uh in fact, I probably should, but um I’m not going to. I should actually move that one up here so I can click them a little easier. I don’t know. We’ll figure that out when we do it. But my numpad 7 is tied to something on my cleric, so it kind of messes up things if I if I push it during combat. So I might move it to a different button. All right, that is all of those. That is everything here. Uh I think that’s everything here. Uh let’s see. Oh yeah. So, we have a we have the ability to shield a target and I guess absorb their damage that they’re taking. Uh so, I have an X-target three which goes to my uh cleric and then I slash shield him. So, theoretically it works. I have not yet have a chance to he hasn’t taken any damage since I made the button. So, it’s uh one of those things. We’ll try it out in live in one of the videos, but it’s it’s there. Uh see, furious leap. This just makes us jump ahead. It’s kind of kind of useful there. Uh that’s everything there. We have war cry which makes the group immune to fear which is interesting. Uh it’s it’s interesting. It’s 33 minute reuse. Uh but I I don’t really get feared at 95. I mean honestly I mean there’s got to be something for that but I I don’t know what it is. Uh we also have fourth wind which uh is our current level endurance regeneration. So it’s kind of interesting there. Uh it looks like it’s a 36 minute reuse 2 minute duration. So it’ be kind of you know pop that. Doesn’t look like it has any of the negative effects. I know when I played the monk there was some negative effects where if you attacked it went away or uh anything else. So looks fine there. Uh we do have an aura uh champions aura. This is level 70. I don’t think it ever gets upgraded, but it increases the uh group’s armor class and chance to trigger weapons. So kind of a theme there for warrior uh because warriors hatred generation is solely based on their weapons, right? Uh this is the house of tool tier one and this is uh this is from underfoot but I bought it from the vendor in uh what zone the karanas for marks of valor right so this is an evolving weapon that in theory when I use it it will evolve and become a better weapon you can see here the final version of it here as slightly better Now, this this is a nice one because it’s got a worn echo of anger anger which does that. Now, I don’t know if it stacks with the echoing anger here like uh on the mask, right? So, this one increases our hate regeneration there and this anger and our attack. So, I don’t know if those stack or not, but we’ll find out. So, we’ll find out eventually, I guess. But, uh definitely you’re going to want anger weapons from this point on. Uh, another thing you want is the mask for anger generation and you want the breastplate for the the uh, clicky and everything else. The arms are cleave. I don’t think there’s anything else that’s like need, right? Uh, legs or furosity. There’s not many other spell effects in all honesty on the warrior gear. Uh so that’s pretty pretty basic there. But yeah, so uh what I can do now, what what level is this guy? 105. Uh con that one. All right, he’s 85. All right. Can I move him without crashing to desktop? Uh adjust placement. Nope, we crashed to desktop. Look at that. One second. I swear that was so dumb. All right, so we’re back. I I was able to move it after I crashed, but All right, so here is a, you know, current level combat dummy. So if I just hit uh four, right, you can see taunt, all this goes off. I jump up in the air. My bard is attacking too, but it doesn’t matter. Now, if we go over here to smashing, you can see I’m hitting for about 1,600 to 2,800 with some crits up into the, you know, almost 9,000s. It’s decent amount of damage, right? We’re doing pure melee damage, right? Uh not much out of there. Now, see, this is all this is all bard stuff that got put on there, but doesn’t matter. So, it works out pretty well, I think, overall with that. You can call challenge. Call challenge actually works as a slight taunt, too, I guess, but it just depends. But we’ll do a uh we’ll we’re going to do a video with all three of them uh together showing uh how it all works works in you know actuality. I’m not going to do parsing. I mean you can see here I’m doing 17,000 DPS. I mean that doesn’t even make sense. Uh I I don’t get that much damage when I uh when I’m out and about. So you know obviously there’s some things going on where I have you know permanent buffs and stuff inside the training hall here that don’t wear off. So, it’s hard to say that that’s how much damage I would actually be doing uh outside of here, but we’ll see when we get to the uh final video. But there we go. Uh so, we talked about gear, we talked about uh that uh right now AAS are like auto granted, right? All the way to 115. So, you know what I would do if I didn’t have auto grant would be combat, agility, stability, armor of wisdom, and then anything else that was defensive. I would 100% defensive 100%. And then after, you know, I don’t have anything else to spend for defensive, I would go offensive. And uh by that time, I should have everything. But I would not do anything offensive until I’m fully defensive because first and foremost you’re a tank and uh damage is a secondary aspect I would say of this and I believe we will we will have some nice damage later on but right now it’s you know not the main focus. That is I think everything. I can’t think of anything else I I do. I run I run a mercenary uh a healer or a melee damage one depending on what you know the content is. Like I can do if I do a gribbles mission I can do a melee DPS. If I do underfoot I pull up pop a second healer uh just for that extra healing. So it just depends uh how that you know all plays out. But there we go. That is how I play my level 85 warrior. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know and uh we can go from there. Thank you very much for watching and please have a fantastic day.
