Hello and welcome to my legendary adventures [music] in Norrath. Today we’re in Guk. I’ve been here for a few hours and I am a level 40 now. So I did I did 32 to 40 here. Uh pretty much starting at the zone in and working my way down and killing until I died. Uh I got lucky. My first frenzy [music] kill gave me a sash. Uh I got a executioner’s axe. I got adamantite epaulets and Carved Bone Talisman. The ghoul lord gave me this. It has been uh it’s been a rather easy experience, right? Like I’m not going to lie. Uh this this build uh just makes it absolutely easy. And uh I’m at 107 AA. I’ve been using the potions like a little uh person and uh it’s definitely uh sped this up. Now, what I’ve been doing actually is I’ve been doing this. So I target them off and I cast my charm, but my skill’s not up yet, so it takes a little while to get it get it off. But once I get it off, right? Boom. He’s charmed. And uh now I have a little pet and he’s got a the ignite weapon from uh Baffalon and the Baron’s Blade, these extra weapons we farmed back then. So he’s got some stuff. So I just now I got a little pet. He’s going to follow me around as I need him. And uh it works out pretty well. It adds a little extra DPS to the thing. Now, I don’t have a my DPS parser up on the screen because I’m in Linux now and I don’t know exactly uh if that thing works. Uh I haven’t even tried, so uh I know it’s a very that the EQ log parser I’ve been using is very .NET heavy. And um I was thinking about just throwing throwing some compute from Claude at it and see if I can make my own little uh OBS based overlay, right? Like right right here down in the corner. for that. Uh and you see this giant cursor I got going on? This is a part of KDE, right? Uh it’s just like a built-in thing, so you can find your cursor when you wiggle it around. Definitely something I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about on uh the uh all the different forums is the cursor is too small. Switch to Linux, you get a big cursor. >> [laughter] >> Hilarious, but uh you know, and I know I haven’t had a single issue since I fixed uh fixed my uh crossover install to use uh Vulcan over OpenGL. And uh it’s been a good It’s been smooth sailing since then. Uh but yeah, so I’ve just been doing this, right? Like there’s there’s just no point me making another video of me just grinding through uh you know, lower-level Guk over and over again, right? I’ve done it probably a hundred times over the uh the years, so it There wasn’t much there, and I was mostly just like heads down, full 100% focused on uh grinding everything. And uh it’s been working out pretty well. Like uh druid Now, like something I didn’t know druids got was healing water. So, notice the cast time on that here, right? I mean, look at that. Like almost instant, right? Like it’s it’s fast. And uh that’s a pretty nice heal. Now, I was looking through my spellbook, and I don’t think I I don’t think there’s another one. Uh but maybe I was just missing it cuz I didn’t I haven’t bought everything. I didn’t buy any spells like a past level 39. So, I got to go I got to go do that. Uh, but the video we’re going to do next was going to be Soulbinder. We were we were going to [music] stay here till uh 43, but uh we are going to take a a side step. We’re going to go try a Yale cuz everybody keeps telling me go do Yale at 40. Go do Yale at 40. And >> [music] >> uh we’re going to go give it a shot. I don’t know if we can handle it, but um definitely uh going to try. So, we’re going to charm this guy. And we’re just going to step back a little bit. And then we’re going to target Hoptor, the uh ghoul lord. And I I actually dotted him up with uh two druid dots. Now, I I merged my uh different damage things into one so I can see everything on the same page. Uh and it’s it’s it’s lower compared well. So, you can see when my my melee goes in and then my uh my my AoE dots and stuff. >> [music] >> So, it works out a little better there. Uh one thing the uh the druids get is this AoE nuke, avalanche, which is pretty nice if I can get it off. Yeah. So, it does like 127 damage. I don’t have any uh AAs into the crit stuff yet. So, that’s a little lacking. Probably going to go ahead and charm this guy again. There we go. And then switch back to Hoptor, healing water, >> [music] >> and then a blooming heal. And I believe at 40 we got a new uh a new [music] heal. So, I’ll have to go pick that up. Um but overall, I’ve uh overall, I’m I’m enjoying Druid. I To me, Druid is is something I don’t know why I slept on. It is extremely overpowered. I don’t know why anybody would >> [music] >> Like I see all these posts about people saying they they’re not great. And I leveled one up to like 45 or 50 in the in the beta. Pre private beta just for ports, but uh I didn’t [music] really do anything with it because I was already at like max max gear and stuff like that. And I preferred my cleric over anything, but this is like this heals so fast. Just keeps me going. Typically, I try to run in under 40% health, right? So, I’m getting crippling blows and stuff. So, you know, it’s just a interesting thing there, but what we’re going to do >> [music] >> is we’re going to head over to the uh the king now. That’s where I want to uh head to. So, we’re going to fight our way over there. And uh we’re going to try to kill the king today. And uh that’ll wrap up Gothic, I think, for uh what I’m what I’m [music] trying to do. Let’s see here. All right. Let’s go like that. And there. All right. We’ll just bring this guy with us. Oh, wait. No, he’s uncharmed. Let’s recharm him. Here he goes. Come with me, buddy. Uh I don’t know if that guy’s going to attack or not. Yeah. Yeah, we got attacked. Now, the biggest issue is these roots. They’re the most annoying thing in the world. But uh if he gets a low, we’ll break him and uh uh Oh, sorry. If he gets low, I’ll break him and I’ll kill him myself, but uh should be fine. I’m hoping uh hoping he gets some magic resist [music] pretty soon. I probably have a spell for it. I’m just I’m lazy, right? Oh god. It’s a lot of mobs. [music] All right, let’s turn around. I’m not even taking that like that much damage, right? Like that’s the crazy part. Let’s go inversion. And then five. Avalanche. Boom. I don’t even think that landed. I think I got interrupted. Boom. There we go. And then [music] uh we can do earthquake. I kicked that one off. Earthquake does a little bit more damage, [music] but uh it is what it is. Now, inversion seems to be my go-to for this build at this point. Uh just because of how much faster the casting is, but that’s I think that’s mostly cuz I’m used to be playing the uh Let’s just kill this guy. He’s too pretty low. I’m used to playing the shadow knight with AM and a necromancer, so I’m having like these really fast cast times. Uh we’re going to probably get back to that build at some point, but uh So, I I was So, I bought slots, right? I bought an inventory slot, didn’t get [music] it, and then I bought uh a storage slot, didn’t [music] get those either. So, I had to do a petition for that. Some’s Something’s wrong here in the store. But, >> [music] >> uh the uh thing I was going to What was I going to talk about here? Uh da da da da items. Uh where is it? There was an item I was going to talk about. I guess I can’t remember what it was right now. But, uh there was something. I almost lost my train of thought. But, it’s it’s been going crazy. I’ve been uh drinking the experience potions like a little sieve and just [music] uh And it’s definitely uh fast leveling here. Like like we’re about to get to AA. We hit 40 in just a few [music] minutes before I started this video. And uh we’re in Now, I’ve upgraded some spells. I’m not really focused too much on that right now. Uh like I can just sit here and face tank this stuff. Like I don’t know. Pop region. Make sure I get that on. Uh easy to get off and uh But, I did upgrade my uh charm. So, that’s like the only thing I’ve really been putting points into. The I’ve gotten, you know, some of these, but I’m not getting as many as I did in the previous the previous beta. Uh so, but I’m also leveling a lot faster than I did then. So, Really? Like how how terrible is that to get rooted like right as I walk by him? But, it’s working pretty well. Now, these are these are all blue as we go up back out to uh the live side. But, uh definitely it’s a fun little experience here. And uh blue mobs are more AA experience from what I can tell. Um because [music] it’s the the way the way it seems to I don’t know. The way it maths is what it feels like. I don’t know. But, you’re leveling uh you’re leveling slower, so that you get less experience. You get more A experience as best I can tell. Jeez. All right. >> [music] >> There we go. All right. Get that going. So, we’ve been staying pretty close to the plan. Um I left Sol A at 32 [music] versus 37. And uh we’re probably going to stay here until about 41, I think. And then we’re going to go to Sol B after we uh make an attempt on Yael. I’d love to knock that guy out real quick. But, uh we’ll see. Now, I’m I’m Like, every named is up. [music] So, that’s the kind of the cool thing is there’s no placeholders in this dungeon now. Which uh is a good thing and a bad thing in my eyes. Like, I feel like they made the rare item rarer to account for it versus versus like uh you know, making it you know, a little less rare because I I was in I killed the Executioner probably 20 times before I got an axe. And then I killed the guy in Befallen, the knight, at least 10 times before I got a sword. [music] So, uh I it’s hard to say if it’s it’s [music] different or not, but it feels it feels like it’s different because I remember getting the rare drops a little bit more common before. So, I don’t I don’t know. It’s all hearsay. So, it’s hard to say, but um it is it’s fun. There we go. All right. Maybe we can get up here. I’m just going to run through the room. See what I Nope. >> [laughter] >> He He’s And people talk about ogre, you know, not getting stunned. I mean, you see that I I got I got him getting stunned constantly. Uh cuz it’s, you know, not in that front cone, right? So, uh I have I have started putting points into uh steadfast will. Now, what I’m doing is I’m grabbing I’m grabbing a high, you know, a high I high value item, like say instrument mastery next cuz it’s 9 AA. Then I grab one steadfast, then I grab another high value, right? I don’t want to dedicate all my points to it. But, uh definitely it’s uh it’s working. Now, I think one of the things is is ogres don’t have uh the thing stoicism, which uh you know, prevents you from getting pushed back like 50% and then uh persistent casting right here. Another one that helps you there. Now, bards bards get versatility, which allows them to uh uh like really not be able to cast through a stun and stuff. So, there’s there’s some like, you know, combination there that’s going to get you to a good good spot, but I am still getting I am still getting stunned a lot, so even though it’s it’s not just from the front because I’m getting stunned from all all directions. You see how they Look at that frog just jumped on top of me cuz I got pushed back, right? Like it’s just how it is. Now, these are almost dead. There we go. And you can see like uh we’re getting some pretty good hits with the those those the two-hander and stuff like that. This is a higher delay two-hander than I’d probably like, so that’s kind of why I want to go get, you know, try to pick up a mythical two-hander. I think that’ll get me that’ll get me going pretty well. Think ratio-wise, if I can get one at a plus three, plus four, I should be good. So, that’s kind of the goal today is to pick up one of those and then we’re going to head off to Yale. Now, I don’t think Earthshaker is a viable weapon. It’s like 70 delay. So, it’s like slower than this one I’m using right now. Uh but it’s it’s got a higher damage, I think. So, there might be some some use for it like in some kind [music] of cleave build that’s more focused on that, maybe with a berserker to speed up the the swings a little bit more, but I don’t know exactly. Now, [music] one thing I should I should point out, right? So, this is the assassin run, right? The supplier is always up. >> [music] >> And in my my video I said go get go kill the evil eye and get bags. Just just kill the supplier. He’s always up. Uh I got the belt like once. So, he’s all he’s always up, so >> [music] >> you can get bags here to hold yourself over. I like I didn’t buy any of the bags in the store yet. I was going to buy one. I was going to put, you know, I was going to buy an inventory slot, put a bag in it, buy an inventory slot, put a bag in it, right? And I didn’t get my inventory slots. Didn’t buy any bags. Uh that was my that was what I was going to do. And yeah. But you can see this this I I’m barely paying attention and this this build is is chugging along. I don’t don’t like the haste belt is nice. I would prefer Um I’m going to prefer probably the cloak of flames, right? Like I in the best in slot list I put up for the build, I did not put a I did not put a haste Oh, I finally got one of those. Nice. >> [music] >> I did not put a haste item. And that was cuz I just I didn’t know which one I wanted. And right now I’m leaning towards the cloak of flames, but another option would be the the druid belt from plane of sky, which if we can get a hold of one of those, that might actually be it. Because if we get that to plus 10, it’ll be, I think, just enough haste to get us to uh a better haste cap, right? And you see here that like I’m at 148 haste. Once this axe procs, I’ll go up a little bit more. Whoa, [music] almost fell down. Yeah, these are going to attack me. Now, these gargoyles are worth killing because uh the eyes they drop are worth seven platinum each. Like I’ve made 1,500 platinum since level 32, so it’s not too bad um money-wise. I think it’ll be enough to buy my spells. I I don’t know exactly. Um it’s definitely uh I’ve been spending a lot on spells. So. That is where we’re at. All right, so we’re almost to live side, so we’re going to drop down here. Now, I don’t do live side very often because stuff runs, but I’m in a difficulty one, so nothing is going to run. There are a few spots where we can fight might run into some difficult mobs, but I’m not really concerned. There we go. I already went over I killed the crusader. I got the spell [music] haste already. Um I got I killed the herald. We’ll do it right now. I’m going to see if I can do this. If I can run right If if run fast enough through this room, I won’t get Yeah, I won’t get stunned. Uh there we go. Fall down here. Now, this is the elder, right? He drops the necklace [music] that we got, right? This one right here, this uh affliction haste uh necklace. Now, [music] the the necklace itself is going to get replaced eventually, but >> [music] >> the uh the focus is going to be with us probably forever. Until there’s another one upgraded, maybe in Kunark. And then, let’s see here. I didn’t kill the hand, so I’ll have to go over there and kill the hand, but uh there we go. We got another one of those. I’m going to go ahead and auto merge these. I guess this is a plus [music] two, so it’s a little bit more stats. Are we chaos these things? I’m apprehensive. All right, so that saves me some time. So, we can go like this, go down here. Now, I’m I don’t have spirit walk on cuz I’m dumb, but oh well. There we go. And we’re going to just go >> [music] >> run straight to the king. This will make Burgin the King a lot easier, honestly, cuz we don’t have to kill all this light blue stuff along [music] the way. Now, I guess it’s harder when you’re playing with a group of people, which uh I probably wouldn’t recommend. But get this off. There we go. You can see this is not too not too rough here. I’m missing. There it is. My haste got dispelled or something. I don’t know what happened there. My haste uh whistle slang fist disappeared. Uh it’s hilarious. All right. And then let’s do another avalanche. I got a crit for 250, so that’s nice. That’s quick, but I don’t need it now. He slowed us and everything, so. Now, I’m hoping he drops the white gold necklace, which is a is a better necklace than the one I just got, right? But uh the reason I want it is cuz when we make shadow knights for shadow [music] knight quest, so uh we got the the this. Gilded claw. All right. >> [music] >> All right. We’re going to leave all these guys and [music] make our way through here. Now, we’ll probably come back and kill all this stuff, but [music] uh I want to I want to break the king first. All right, so there’s the king. He’s holding his sword. Obviously, he’s not going to drop the sword, but uh looks like there’s a basilisk [music] in there. What the [\h__\h] That’s not fun. Can I pull that thing? All [music] right, the king in my chaos, the king. Yeah, I’m still apprehensive. I should be able to get this guy out of there. Okay, attack me. We got to get him out of there. You why? Because he stuns for like 10 seconds. It’s death if you’re in this room. Just pull all the way back here. And get him dotted cuz he’s going to stun us again. All right. Now, the way I do this hopefully it works. We’ll see. There we go. All right. The way I do this is I charm this guy right here and I send him at the king. All right, that’s kind of the the trick here. All right, he’s charmed. King, attack. And I’m going to pull back. There we go. And then I’m just going to attack the king. Now, the king is a paladin. Uh he didn’t get multi-classed, so he doesn’t have like he usually gets a ranger and it’s like the most annoying mob in the world to fight ever. But uh we only got looks like I we only got three mobs out of the possible 10, so that’s pretty good. And uh as soon as this guy gets to like here, we’re going to break him and charm his uh the box, one of the box, right? That is the goal. But it doesn’t looks like I’m taking it, so perfectly fine there. But we want to get the king uh get the king pretty low here. Taking a lot of damage. All right, go booming hail. I I’m getting absolutely charmed by something here. I can’t tell if he laid hands yet. I’m not I’ve been paying attention to his health that much. There we go. Oh jeez, he just died. He didn’t do anything. I guess his AI died out or something. Uh all right. Now we’re just going to kill him easily. We’re fine. So we got a froglok crown, which is okay. We need one of those anyway for when we go fight Nagafen. Essence of wrath, let’s go ahead and auto store those. [music] Just in case those become useful some some point in time. All right. Well, there you are. The king’s dead. I don’t think he cast any spells. Um which is is is weird, right? Like he’s usually like cast and full and it’s uh pretty difficult, but uh There we go. So I’m going to take this and I’m going to throw it in my storage. This thing is worth five platinum. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to take spell haste one off there. And we’ll put it on those. And delete this [\h__\h] Throw that in there. And we’re good. Like once you get the focus is like not worth point, you know, there’s no point in keeping some stuff, so. All right. There’s a guy. All right. We Oh, you’re getting charmed, buddy. If I can charm you. There you go. You’re charmed. There we go. So, it’s pretty uh it’s pretty easy, right? Like I’m not Like I I made it look easy, but uh I surprised myself there. Uh another one is not [snorts] too bad. I remember in previous iterations, [music] it was definitely more difficult. There we go. [music] And perfect. So, this is what I’m going to be doing for like the next uh few, you know, probably hour, right? I think I should I should be able to get to 41 in the next hour, maybe 42. Uh but I’m going to stay here until I get a mithril two-hander is my goal, right? That is That is my current goal. So, it’s just a lot of uh a lot of farming farming it over and over again, right? And luckily, we didn’t get these two to add add into the fight, which is weird cuz they usually do. Uh but maybe I just charmed that guy at the right angle that I didn’t have to deal with it. There you go. Look. Oh, burning affliction. Nice. That’ll be nice to have for later on. All right, let’s leave him and kill him. But you can see these massive [music] like criticals that we’re getting with the two-handers and stuff. It’s It’s actually pretty nice. Little bit different than what I did on the all the other ones with dual wield and stuff, so I think dual wield is functionally like going to be better, right? Like at the end, we’re going to want to do Gut and something in our off hand, right? Like there’s just just [music] no no way around that. Because Dugas is like 40 [music] AC 200 hit points, right? That’s so much better than probably what we’re going to get out of anything [music] else, right? So it is definitely one of those those things that, you know, you just got to deal with. Now, we’re going to come in here. The herbalist is up, so we’re going to charm his friend. And we’re going to kill him. Bard is Bard is one of my favorite classes, and it is one of the best leveling classes, I think. Because you get a lot out of the Bard toolkit, right? Like I get these bottom songs are all passive abilities, right? Passive AOE, you know, 40 a tick, 434 a tick, right? And then this one crit for 68. I’m getting crits, you know, I’m getting everything I need, right? And it’s just feels nice. And I guess charm broke. No, charm didn’t break. It was just an ad. All right, that’s what it is. This you know, you got to pay attention here. There we go. We got him. All right. Sell that. What is this? This is a cloak, 6 AC. What are we wearing? We have a 9 AC, but a ring mail cloak. And druids can use it. So schwacky schwacky, we got a new cloaky. Uh destroy that, and then we’re good to go. Not too bad at all there. All right. Now, I think we can just pretty much go murder hobo on the rest of this stuff here. And uh probably have to re-break the room in all honesty. That’s just about how it always goes. I don’t know if that one that I just saw there was the the roamer or not. All right, let’s heal. Let’s get some of this here. Now, rampage is probably not worth your A’s in all honesty. It goes down faster with uh with uh cleave now, but it still does terrible damage. And I feel like its range is so low it’s not going to hit that dark oil that’s right next to me. Like that’s that’s how it feels. Uh I don’t have any proof of that, but uh definitely probably could have spent five A’s somewhere else. And uh would have been happier, but I do uh I did I did put in my spam key my four. So, I’m I’m just like spamming four constantly, which tells my pet to go attack and stuff like that. So, uh it’s one of those uh you know, just works buttons, right? So, I can get I can make my pet focus on what I’m attacking, which whatever whatever it attacks. So, it’s kind of kind of necessary there. Uh but for the most part, it’s fine. But uh we’re doing doing pretty well. Like this stuff’s, you know, decent experience, I guess. Um I’m hoping Soul [music] Eater is going to speed it up. Now, I’m I’m I’m thinking the way this build’s working right now, and D1, I’m going to be able to pull like most DMs at once and kill them all. So, okay. That’s uh they’re so weak compared to like most mobs and by the time [music] we get there, we should be uh just a little bit better. Oh my gosh, stop healing yourself, buddy. I feel like I’m surprised they don’t like their AI doesn’t tell them to heal at full instead of like trying to waste mana nuking on a mob on a target that’s full health, right? >> [laughter] >> Yeah, I I figure that’s you know, that’s what I would make it do, right? Heal yourself to full versus uh you know, healing yourself to 25% and then running out of mana because he blew it all on a nuke. All right, this room is still clear. Now, there might be a mob right here. [music] Yeah, this one. I’m just going to run back up here. There you go. And the king should spawn soon. There we go. And that. So, we’re at 70% of 41. So, I feel like I I got I’m going to be pushing hard today. Um now, I’ve been making uh there’s I think I’m on like video This will be video eight and I’ve been pushing hard and this is all, you know, condensed over 2 days. And uh this is this is the second day to second day, third day. This is the third day of the launch right now, so I’m hoping >> [sighs] >> I’m hoping to get 50 by What is today? Today is Thursday. So, I’m hoping to get 50 by tomorrow. Um get uh ideally have all three uh of my raid tokens and be sitting [music] in be sitting in uh Plane of Fear trying to get a breastplate. Uh that is that is my item I’m I’ve decided I’m going to put my tokens on. So, I need as many [music] I think I’m I’m going to hopefully get it to like plus five or six before I I can before I waste anything, right? Uh but ideally is I would get my three raid tokens and then spend the rest of my time farming armor in fear and where we can get breastplate, boots, [music] and gauntlets. Gauntlets being another top tier item. So, do that and then we probably go up to hate, pick up those items, too. These shamans are the most annoying. But, that’s that’s my plan. I don’t maybe maybe go up to sky and see if we get lucky, but the thing with sky is all the items start at level one, right? So, All right, we got a buck. Let’s see if we can charm [music] him real quick. There we go. And then we’ll switch to recovery cuz my mana is slow. Can’t switch while casting. All right. All right, this is weird. And we got we need to get this one on here. Excellent. All right, he’s casting stun. All right, I’m seeing it. But, uh Let’s see if he lays hands. He’s at 46%. He should have already laid hands. They lay hands pretty early. Um but Oh, I lost my charm. Charm back. Let’s get him back. >> I only need All right. All right. Let’s let’s focus on healing now. Looks like this one’s got a little bit more pep in his step AI-wise, so That is good to see. There we go. Now I’m interrupting with his with the auto bash there, so that’s good. There we go. Immolate. That’s just another dot we can put on him, right? Healing water. And blooming heal. You can see the knockback we’re getting from like face taking these things, right? It’s pretty crazy. We don’t have spike and shields on. And we lost something else. I think it was skin It’s kind of diamond. All right, we got another helmet. I’ll merge that. And there. So, what I’m going to do is I’m going to just sit here and I’m going to farm for the rest rest of the the few hours here. Uh and then we’re going to come back in another video. And we are going to Yeah, cuz this has been 40 minutes. We’re we’re going to do uh try it an attempt on Master Yell. And if we do that, uh we might feel froggy and try Nagafen. I know when I tried Nagafen in the early early beta, uh I got my ass whooped, but that was before stances, before spell upgrades, and all that stuff, so.
